Vagabond Inn Whittier

Easy check in process, comfy beds, & pleasant front desk staff. Would stay here again if I was ever back in town.

Ample parking on facility. Ice machines maintained. Stores within walking distance. Pool facilities maintained.

Coffee maker doesn't heat the water, had to use the microwave, door to microwave had to be forced open, couldn't get Coffee for second day, staff spoke limited English

Clean room good staff pool was closed only downfall

This place is in the middle of everything... Uptown Whittier and the Whitwood Mall.

It was an excellent stay.

Air conditioning was good in the room

Located close to where we needed to be. Ground floor room was appreciated. The room was very outdated and smelled strongly of cleaning solutions and bleach. We had to turn the air conditionerto a much colder setting than we wanted to, in an effort to air out the room a bit. We also had to leave the door open for a bit.

The pool was nice and clean. The rooms were spacious everything worked well. We were near a lot of popular places to eat and shop and drink. Parking is a little bit tight. Room was not serviced everyday. There was soap from the last guest still in my shower. I was on the 3rd floor no elevator option.

For a typical "budget motel" this property is clean, close to a lot of things, easy access to freeways for longer trips. We even found a nice park within walking distance. Really pleasant all around. It claims to be a smoke-free property but the lobby smelled strongly of smoke when we checked in and out. There was also an ashtray on the wall outside our room. (The room smelled fine.)

Pool was fabulous! At check in, sent us to a room that was not ready and was really icky. Cleaned room was reasonably clean and comfortable.

Good place to stay. They provided a small refrigerator and coffee maker.
