Amber Light Wilderness Beach Cottage

10 min walking to the beach, 5 min to town (which is just a few restaurants and a SPAR). Room had a ensuite bathroom with bath. Owner seemed friendly but we only met once in the coffee shop. Photos made it seem like the round cottages were standing on their own but they were connected to a main building-- with a front door that ran stuck into the floor. The inside was not very inviting to hang out. Our room (3) had plenty of ceiling and wall cracks, mold stains, etc, and a shower that was not comfortable to stand under.

Perfect location , in the centre of town, within close & safe walking distance from shops and restaurants and located next to a very nice coffee shop. The cottage has a big open communal lounge & dining area. Nothing major is wrong, just little things, eg blinds in the room and bathroom needs repairs; outside areas needs some TLC.

My only regret is that we did not have time to spend at the coffee shop. Amber Light will be our first choice for future bookings in Wilderness.

Would have loved to have an iron/steamer for those wrinkled clothes. Would be great if you could even just add it to the commen area to use if needed.

Hosts were very friendly. The room was big and spacious. Very clean.

I liked the location.it was close to many restaurants . The heated beads also were nice and the price There was no small table in front or next to the sofa so when you have coffee or tea to put it on it . And the bathroom door was difficult to close and open and had minimal privacy as it is open from top of the door . There was no hot water in when washing your hands the shower however had hot water. Also when I checked in I arrived late about 7 pm and there was no clear instructions about how to enter our room we were trying to go the opposite direction of our room . Luckily , they answered there phone quickly Also there was small stairs which were a bit narrow which I think would be difficult for an elderly person

My stay was lovely and Ross was very flexible in helping us with the check in and late check out. The cottage is beautif

The location was excellent. The room was very comfortable and we had all we needed. We also loved the electric blankets in the room. The bathroom door didn’t allow for any privacy and the doors/windows are not very secure. Being in SA I was a bit worried about how easy it would be to force a door open.

We had a wonderful time at Amber Light Wilderness Beach Cottage. Very comfortable beds, Ross and his team were great and very helpful, the location is great, super easy to walk into the village or to the beach, it's a wonderful place to stay, would highly recommend.

the situation was excellent, near the centre and close to good restaurants. the bed and shower were good! the accommodation could have been cleaner. it needs more lights in approach especially with these outages

it was clean, cute, nice location the coffee place in the front is amazing, and the customers are having a good time with each other. but there is no way for sleeping in with the laughters
