The wifi sucked

No one answered phone. You called, they returned a text. They over charged me, they told me they would take care of it, they didn’t. Had to dispute charge. Not a good experience

Kimberly’s Restaurant and Tiki Tom’s were both across the street. Kimberly’s has delicious food and Tiki Tom’s offers yummy to-go frozen drinks. I would not recommend Sandy Shores Resorts based on my experience. I booked an efficiency room through Booking.com and paid $820 in advance. When I arrived after driving three hours, I was told by the owner/manager that the property had never received my reservation and that the room I booked was not available. Instead of taking responsibility and finding a reasonable solution, I was repeatedly told that it was Booking.com’s fault. I was offered a conjoined room for nearly $1,300, despite already having paid $820 for my original room. The alternative rooms did not even have the kitchen amenities included with the room I had originally booked. I ultimately had no choice but to take a different room that was not suitable for four adults and had to pay an additional $658 on the spot just to have somewhere to stay. Communication with this property is extremely difficult. The office is seemingly never open, the phone number is never answered, and when you call, the voicemail box is full. Messages through Booking.com were not answered either. I even contacted the property the morning of our arrival. I was given a text option so when prompted, I gave them my name and asked if I could check in around 3:00 PM, I was told yes, but no one told me there was a problem with my reservation. I only found out after driving three hours and arriving. The problems continued after checkout. I had to repeatedly reach out regarding my refund. When I tried to contact the property at checkout time, the office was locked, the phone was unanswered, and the voicemail was still full. The owner did not respond to my text. To make matters worse, I later received a notification from Booking.com stating that it appeared I had never shown up for my stay and that the property could potentially charge me for the entire length of the reservation. This was completely false. I arrived, checked in, stayed at the property, and checked out.

Ice machine was great. Staff were friendly and nice. Clean for most part The bottom of the door kept falling off. The shower curtain was dirty on inside and smelled. It should be changed more often. Didn’t like that I was charged for towels. I never used because I brought my own.

The place is run down. The Floor in our room was dirty. While trying to relax in the pool there were a group of unsupervised kids 10-12 years old throwing a basketball and football around in the water. This forced us to leave the pool area. The same group started feeding the Seagulls from their balcony I an very dissatisfied with the cleamliness and the value of this place It should never bereferred to as a Resort.. It is a Motel at best

The location was nice The property was not maintained! There was black mold in the bathroom old soap scum in the soap dish from past guest it was hard to get fresh towels . The air conditioner sounded like planes taking off every 5mins . Old and nasty! I paid extra for a parking for a extra car and ended up getting a extra room for two more nights they said the couldn’t give me my money back for the parking

Family owned. Front desk not open very often. Old, but clean. I had to drop my room key in a box because I had to be out by 10, but Front desk not open.

Ive never given a bad review before. Wait time to check in was loo long. Checked in @ 5:30, plenty of time for room to be cleaned. There was trash in both trash cans. Te beds were unmade and looked used and the towels were wet. Obviously the room was never cleaned. Management should have checked the room before re

Overall the room was ok. Location is close to the boardwalk. Room was humid but there was a dehumidifier to use. Surfaces were clean but walls are dirty. There's not enough parking so if you leave, you're not guaranteed a spot.
