Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Williamsburg East (Busch Gardens), VA

Booked this hotel for it's proximity to Busch Gardens. Quiet, short drive to dining and such. Laminate floors were in shoddy condition, kept tripping, but otherwise ok

This place needs a major makeover.

Our room was clean and the staff was nice.

Location Not very clean.

The rooms were dirty, mostly the bathroom. I have a blood disorder and liver failure. They questioned me about needing a handicap room. Then our room was right next to the dining room where they had a party. People were loud and yelling while we were trying to sleep. This is the worst experience we have had at a hotel and we are travel often. We will not being staying at this location again.

The room was clean. The breakfast was great. A tasty complete breakfast that had something for everyone. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The pool was clean and well taken care of.

The location is great Not the room but the hallways look bad need to be cleaned carpet stained floors need to be moped

Room and bathroom was clean. Our stay was during a very busy weekend for the staff. Staff was working endlessly to keep the breakfast buffet (bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, eggs, waffles) stocked. Close to Busch Gardens & Water Country as well as the outlet mall.

The mattress was old and very uncomfortable. the carpet in the hallway was stained. overall, the hotel and room appeared clean. However old looking.

I wasn't able to leave my dog at home while on vacation, but found this pet-friendly hotel on Expedia. The location was a short 10min drive down the road from Busch Gardens.

Exceptional

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The property was clean for the most part, and the saltwater pool was a definite highlight — a nice touch compared to standard chlorinated pools. The location was ideal, putting us close to everything we needed. Breakfast was good for what was offered, a nice start to the day. The room was quite cramped for the price. More notably, this property felt like it carries the Radisson name in branding only — the experience didn't match the standard I've come to expect from other Radisson hotels I've stayed at, which have consistently been much better. A basic amenity that's now standard at most 2-star-and-up hotels — wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash — was missing here. The on-site shop ("commissary") was also of little help if you forgot any essentials, as it only stocked snacks. Additionally, there was a persistent smell of marijuana throughout the property, which was unpleasant and unexpected. Overall, I'd recommend managing expectations if you're booking this property based on the Radisson name alone — it didn't live up to the brand's reputation in my experience.

The management was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. Loved the waffles! The location was very good to get to Busch Gardens but there were no restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is old and needs some repairs but the room was clean and did not smell!
