Onsen is very good. Room is very large. NO BATHROOM in the room but on booking you mentioned there's one in it. You should change info on booking.com from bathroom to toilet. I was shocked when I didnt see a bathroom in my room. We had to book time for shower in shared bothroom. During high season, it must be chaos.

Stayed at Hatago Tsubakiya for my birthday and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. The view of Mt. Fuji from my room was breathtaking, I woke up to it and just couldn’t stop staring. Everything felt so peaceful. The room was very clean and really comfortable, and having a private onsen made it even more special. It was so relaxing… exactly how I wanted to spend my birthday. Definitely a place I’d come back to ? The only thing to note is that the private onsen needs a reservation, so it’s better to come early if you want more time options. Also, when I came back to pick up my luggage, the staff seemed a bit busy with cleaning so the service wasn’t as accommodating as when I checked in ?

The property was beautiful with a view of Mt.Fuji. My daughter really loved playing in the garden and our room was very comfortable with Japanese charm! None, everything was great!

Awesome location with direct mt fuji view. Peaceful neighborhood, right close to yamanakako lake.

Great service! Great view

The only person that we saw at front desk was very nice The room had a view on Fuji, very near It was as it the place was not set up for winter. 1- Not hot water in the shared basin on the floor( shared with 5 rooms) only option to shower and have hot water is at the onsen. Maybe it depends on the kind of room. 2- the common places were not heated 3- no breakfast only free coffee 4- no privacy between rooms

Hot spring in the hotel is great, but we need to register that for each time 40-50 mins. It’s a bit tight for a relax bath. Owner is friendly and informative. Canteen is clean and with complete tableware.

What a wonderful place to stay!!!! Beautiful view of Mountain Fuji from our bedroom window. Onsen was relaxing. Everyone was very friendly. Close walk to cafes and dining.

Small property with two nice sento (not onsen) baths. Spacious rooms, nice staff. While it was a good property, I'm not sure I'll be back: No food. They say they have a "restaurant" but it's just a room with a microwave. Might be a language issue. Stock up on 7-11 food or eat somewhere else. The property is dated and they aren't cleaning it very thoroughly. Communal areas are spotless, but in the room there are dust balls. The paper screens had holes and patches. The walls had some spots and smudges. The double bed was squeezed into a strange place where it wasn't supposed to be - the engawa, the place between a window and the room area. It was very inconvenient but hey, now they can claim it's a 4-person room. The "Fuji view" was the tip of Fuji above trees.

One of our favourite places we stayed in Japan! The private onsen was incredible and very relaxing. We stayed two nights and could book one time slot in the evening and one in the morning. The room was massive and had a great tatami area but the view of mt Fuji from the room blew us away... It's even better than the photos! The staff at the hotel were great with helping us book the onsen and show us around the hotel. The location was also great, very quiet and just a short walk from everything! Some elements of the room were a bit dated but it didn't detract from our experience

The private onsen was great for someone like me covered in full sleeves and leg tattoos. The view of Mt. Fuji was perfect on a clear day and lake Yamanaka was only a 5-7 minute walk away. A car would be more ideal here but still walkable! The “invaders from the mountains” aka stinkbugs trying to get into the room daily. They warned on the sheet at check in but I had 8 stinkbugs in 48 hours. I am terrified of bugs and don’t speak Japanese so it was a little hard to explain that I know they won’t harm me but they scare me! However staff came in to save the day and handled a few for me.

Very comfortable and clean traditional accommodation. The staff is very helpful when we had questions. We made use of their Onsen and tennis court. Can definitely recommend and would come again! Nothing

Location was great. Located right next to Lake Yamanakako. Breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji. Service was great. Very accommodating. Plus you can also reserve your own private onsen. No breakfast/dinner served. Toilets and sinks are not located your room and are shared between guests. Private onsen makes up for it.

I can not say enough good things about this place; we absolutely loved it! The view of Mr.Fuji from the private garden is spectacular. Our host was so lovely and helpful. The room was huge even by western standards, but especially considering the compact Japanese standard. The onsen is magnificent! 100stars!
