The location was perfect- we had a lake-view room and were less than 1 block from the lake shore, the swan cruise, the pedal boats, and 2 blocks from 711 combini and other cafes and restaurants. It’s easy to rent bikes from the lobby. The staff thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, including umbrellas we could borrow, coffee available all day, free ice cream (!), and all the amenities in the onsen. We loved the onsen experience- it was almost always just my family, so it was very peaceful and quiet with a lovely garden view. Great to have experienced Japanese sleeping arrangements with comfortable floor mats, a traditional breakfast, and an easy dinner option right in the lobby. The staff was exceptionally sweet and funny and super helpful. They seemed to really care about our experience there and made us feel almost as though we were guests in their home. Would love to stay here again!

This hotel is very lovely! we stayed here to try the ryokan style accommodation, and this has definitely played a great part for the experience. Nothing too fancy but all you require in a hotel is here. We absolutely love the ONSEN facility. The breakfast is basic but yet again we booked here for simplicity Ryokan style - and we enjoyed it a lot. And parking is FREE you don't get that in Japan! Nothing to mention

Close to the lake and public transportation, on-site rental bikes, and the on-site public bath. Restaurant options were limited in this area.

  • Engine customer May 2026

The hotel was fine for what we paid. Japanese Futon but you need to make you own bed.

  • Engine customer May 2026

There is no breakfast selection except for real traditional Japanese rice bowl with egg and seaweed. The dinner selection was chicken curry. There are other restaurants around but you will need transportation to get to them. The hotel needs to put their name in some English under the main entrance since it is only in Japanese character. Luckily I can read them so no problem. Staff is super friendly and the public bath is wonderful. Nothing

I wish there were instructions for how to make the Japanese futon bed yourself.

No breakfast but a few option for breakfast outside

The staff was very friendly. The room was a good size. The futons were quite thin. I thought there would be good views of Mt. Fuji from the hotel but there were now good views.

I checked in late so only saw one staff that night. He was nice, pleasant and attentive. The lady I saw when leaving my room for check out was also nice. The room was bigger than I expected, and was clean. I enjoyed the traditional design (one main room and another section at the window with a view to rest and enjoy with a little fridge. I was also surprised with the extra area at the front door area. The view was beautiful with the lake and the alps in the distance with a crisp air (it was a winter morning). They had a yukata for a child as well. The cost of one night stay and no cost to a toddler were super reasonable for the quality I received at this place. I also found a convenience store very close although I did not need to go. They offer a simple breakfast and dinner at a low price too. The heater was very efficient, so did not feel the coldness at all and the hot water (which was very hot) came put from the tap very quickly. Nothing from me:) I am from Japan, living overseas. To me I enjoyed every part of the night at the place (e.g. the room, the building, everything I remember from when I was a kid). Depending on each person's expectations (esp for overseas travelers maybe?), they might want more??? E.g. newer building (it is a 40 year old hotel which i loved more than new fancy accommodations), not needing to set up futon by yourself, big dining services within the hotel.

    Big room

Kindest staff, amazing location, and tattoo friendly onsen. Gonna stay here again for sure

No sign in English. When we arrived the staff told us that the hotel doors will be locked from 23:00 to 6:00 in the morning and no one will be at the front desk, which basically meant we would have been locked. It was not stated in the reservations terms. We decided not to spend the night there and left immediately

The bath was nice size although no outdoor bath. It was a bit expensive for a 3-star Japanese style hotel. My husband was disappointed there was not a full breakfast — only raw egg over rice — and this wasn’t included in the room cost.

I liked the traditional Japanese room experience. The room was spacious, and the futons were comfortable. The staff was very polite and kind. We were dropped off next door so it wasn't hard to find. We had access to the onsen on the property but we didn't get a chance to use it. There wasn't much to do in the area. I was under the impression from the booking description that you could see Mt. Fuji from the room we booked but we had to walk out to the parking lot to see a bit of it. The room was run down. The a/c didn't work.

    Reasonable price

  • Engine customer May 2025

They charge extra when we go to hotel. The rooms were already double the price due to golden week period.

Nice hotel close to the lake shore. The room has a private bathroom (was not clear on the Booking site). Convenience store at 100m. Nice views of Fuji from the lake (not from the room, at least not from ours). Since the room is rather small, you have to do the futon beds yourself, after moving the table and chairs.

A great location to view Fuji, the staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. The traditional Japanese room was suitable for our family for a night, and we enjoyed the clean and quiet onsen. We hired bikes locally to cycle around the lake, then hired two scooters from the hotel early the next morning to see the sunrise. Highly recommend! N/A
