Hotel Clementine

Enjoyed the sitting room which allowed us to have drinks and visit with others we were traveling with. Nice that pets were allowed. Being on the top floor was very difficult. Being in our late 60’s and hauling luggage up many flights of stairs was difficult. Also no A/C when York was experiencing record high temperature was quite uncomfortable.

Creaky floorboards in Rowntree Suite could use some TLC, but this is nit-picking.

Such a lovely hotel. Excellent location and very friendly staff. The interior design is so imaginative. It’s an old house so the floors tend be a little creaky, but the bathrooms are very up to date. We had a walk in shower which is nice if you’re a bit older. We would stay here again in a heartbeat should we be lucky enough to return to York.

The room was exceptionally comfortable. The bed was the most comfortable of the entire week in Yorkshire. The bar at the end of the night was a welcome retreat. 4pm check in is really late. Most flights arrive in early. We paid an additional £20 for a 1.00 pm check in. Most places would facilitate an earlier check in if feasible without an additional fee.

The decor is delightfully whimsical and comfortable. Staff was super helpful and friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer. They even have a super sweet elderly kitty who visited us in our room. I can’t say enough positive things about this property and their services. Nothing

This hotel is wonderful! The room was comfortable and well appointed. The facility is beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly. A great experience and I highly recommend.

The shower in the bath was awkward and had to sit down to shower as the ceiling was low down.

I really enjoyed this guest house. My room was very comfortable with unique decor. Walking distance from the Minster & old town.
