Well located, friendly staff, nice touches, great spa experience. Our room was in the eaves. I’m 6’ 2”. So I couldn’t use the loo standing up, or stand in front of the bathroom sink to shave, and my head touched the shower head.

Beautiful decor, the snack pantry is a great idea.

Well positioned - lovely building. Room interior a bit all over the place. Good ‘communal’ areas although bar to brightly lit. A good bar atmosphere at night easily achieved - dim the lights! It was all pretty good. Stained stair carpets should be replaced

The decoration and the staffs The rooms were small, some places were dirty and got dust gathering on top of radio, bathroom tiles were broken and stained, could do a bit maintenance and upkeep.

Stylish and characterful accommodation in walking distance to York Minster. On-site secure parking (for a fee). Smart restaurant serving dinner from Thursday to Sunday, and offering breakfast daily. Loved the pantry idea if you need a snack. It’s on a main road so can be noisy if your room as at the front. The shower is in the bath in a standard room.

Fantastic location, beautiful property and lovely room. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Lovely toiletries. My son loved the pantry! Good drinks list at the bar. Very little not to like. The food is pretty expensive, but so are most things these days.
