Ocean Surf at York Beach

Do NOT book this hotel. What they portray themselves online - is not what is reality. The staff, are very nice… but the hotel is gross. Smells like urine, the rooms are not what they appear and the floors on the outdoor “patio” feel like you may fall through. We checked in, and checked out an hour and half later and demanded a refund.

Our stay was great, friendly staff and clean room. Loved the location! Will stay again!

Very good

The place was lovely, only complaint is there were no bedside tables and very little storage space. Balcony was great, nice common areas, beach right across the street.

Everything was great. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to help in anyway that they could. My room had a wonderful ocean view through two windows and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was small, but was perfect for two people. The only thing it was really lacking was a refrigerator and a microwave. If the room had those two things I would’ve given it five stars the pool was also wonderful.

The desk and cleaning staffs were attentive to my needs. Very nice pool area. Building itself is well taken care of. Parking was a little tight, but doable. Building was right on the ocean. An "I would stay here again" type of place.

Great place to stay on long sands to swim without going into the frigid ocean waters.

It was very clean, quiet, and the AC was an upgrade compared to most hotels in this price range.

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed watching the sunrise from our room balcony.

Ice Machine didn't work. Cost of amenities is $20 per night, but cost for drinks at pool were still high. Parking was hard if you were late arrivals

Very picturesque and right on the beach.

I had an excellent stay. The property is beautiful right In front of the beach. Room was nice as clean and smelled fresh right in the walk in. Bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly. Special thanks to Mae the front desk representative that checked me in she was so sweet and had a great aura which made the started my stay off beautiful. The only thing I would comment on is the limited parking. Other than that 10/10 I would stay here again. I wish I stayed longer but I will definitely be back!

Front desk staff very helpful with last minute reservation changes

We really liked this hotel. Very clean. Nice breakfast. We were looking for healthy snacks and drinks in the afternoon/evening so we didn't have to leave or drive, and none were available. It would be nice if the bar was stocked, even just with coffee/tea for purchase. The pool was wonderful. I think a salt water pool. Other ideas: a shuttle or golf cart to take people down to Long beach, earlier check in times, maybe more staff. The staff there was great, but when I called the day of arrival, no one answered the phone at 4-5 times I called. Said to leave a message, but I was unable to leave a message because the voice mail was full
