We do politely ask guests to be mindful of this before booking with us.

No breakfast. Reception shut at 8pm as bank holiday. Could not control temperature of shower. No plug in basin.

Lovely bar . Nice clean room with ample tea and coffee. Great shower. Great location Parking was tough . Initially the very small pub car park full, alternative public car park full. Drove around for 30 mins trying to find a car park . Lucky for us a space was available in pub car park when we returned. Don't rely on this facility. It is small and quite tight if you have a big car.

Very clean. Until the pub downstairs closes at midnight, it will be like you are trying to fall asleep inside the bar. The sound proofing is non-existent, even if it's not a busy night. This is not mentioned as prominently as it should be in the listing given how much it will color your experience of staying there--the accommodation is really only fit for purpose if you plan to be in the pub till closing.

Nice and clean room. Quite close to city center. Comfortable bed. Hardly heard any noise even though it is above a pub Parking is a bit tight but that's all

The Bay Horse Inn was a bit of a surprise! The exterior and bar area show their rustic age but the room was modern, large and very comfortable! We cannot comment on the food, as none is available on Mondays but there were many eateries nearby. Very convenient location to the train station and York’s old town. All rooms are accessed by a narrow staircase. Not a deal-breaker but a definite issue for those with mobility challenges.

Bay Horse York is a lovely very clean, friendly hotel/pub and we would be very happy to stay there again in the future. It's also got a small car park at the rear of the property. ? xx. Nothing.

Mine host was very pleasant and helpful. The room was warm, spacious and clean. There was nothing we didn't like.

The room was spacious and very clean, updated and comfortable. The rooms are located above a pub. I was concerned about noise at night, but I did not hear any noise coming from the pub and had a very good night sleep.

The room was very spacious and well decorated. The location i.e. closeness to city centre and train station were perfect. The cups for tea and coffee were a good size, which is always a plus for us! We were unable to get the shower to work and so having a bath was the only option. One side of the bed was broken quite badly on one side which made it uncomfortable and resulted in a poor night's sleep.
