A wonderful place, very stylish! Great bar and friendly staff, sitting outside in the evening was wonderful! Not to forget about the gorgeous breakfast. The summers are not getting cooler again, so I'd recommend installing air conditioning in the rooms on the 2nd floor. It can become unpleasantly warm at night, too warm to sleep.

Excellent attention to detail. Wait staff was very fast and efficient. Pretty building Nothing

Fantastic breakfast & service

I stayed only one night - there is nothing to complain, except of the fact that the building facade is being currently renovated and thus the building does not look nice. But this is I hope temporary.

The staff was wonderful especially Mars and the owner. It was a wonderful stay and breakfast and dinner were great. Perfect location to walk into town.

Bed was horribly uncomfortable. Room didn't get cleaned. No elevator and lots of steps to third floor hauling luggage. No porter service.

Apparently there is a welcome drink but it is not offered to all guests who arrived. We were checking in at the same time with another older couple. There were two younger girls at the reception on May 11. The older couple was offered welcome drinks and when they declined the other receptionist was insisting if they want it when they come back. Meanwhile there is nothing mentioned to us as we stand literally next to them being checked in by the blonde. To top it off when she confirmed we are staying for only one night she asked us to pay and put a two night rate in a credit card machine. So after traveling for 32 hours it was up to me to be catching the errors. I paid we then processed to our room. Still no welcome drink offered.

Very convenient location, only 15-20 minute walk to the historical city centre. The hotel itself has a lot of charm... it reminded me of Fawlty Towers in a very positive and affectionate manner! Rooms are large, with good bed and bathroom with wc & shower. Breakfast was spot-on... personal attention, good choice & good quality! This was what we hoped for and in reality it all felt even better! Our sincere appreciation to staff and management. It is definitely on our bucket-list to come back another time! Why complain about anything if the stay was near perfect? After all, the scaffolding is necessary for maintenance and roadworks & diversions are out of the hotel's control. Minor details that cannot be helped and did not affect our wonderful stay.

Staff were very welcoming both on arrival and at breakfast. The room was nice and clean, great breakfast. The parking overflow area worked well for me (back of the hotel is tight!). I asked about storage for my road bike ahead of arrival, turns out that it was uncovered in a secluded yard. I wasn't 100% comfortable with it being left out in the elements all night so a cover or shelter would help.

Great location. Excellent value for money.

The location was a short walk to city center and sights. The room and bathroom are a good size and very clean. Breakfast was good. The staff friendly and attentive. They offered afternoon tea and coffee - a wonderful surprise. A queen bed would have been nice for two people but the full bed worked.

Great location and helpful staff TV was small, room was a bit hot

Breakfast was superb, hotel staff friendly and attentive.

Beautiful old hotel, well loved. The lobby and bar are great, so cozy and welcoming. Twin bedded room on ground floor was spacious and had beautiful big windows.

There was not heating in the room The booking said there was parking, there is no parking, the parking on the front is only 2 hours max stay and then you have to move, parking to the back only hold maybe 3 cars not go for the size of the hotel, staff was rude when parking was brought up when arrive and when leaving the hotel and at one point was told just to go ahead and cancel my whole stay over this matter but to cancel still want to charge for the full price of the stay. We had no heating in the room at all up on arrive was told it would be turned off at ten at night anyway but still had not heating in the mirning so the room was freezing all night as the little heater proved did nothing.
