The faucet and tap in the sink were slightly loose and seemed to be leaking rust onto the sink basin. The room could have also used a fresh coat of paint on the walls and bed frame, as there were cracks or bits that had worn away. Both the mattresses were fairly hard.

The young lady who is booked me in on the 11th in the afternoon was very pleasant A stain in the wash basin , the bed area was very cramped. There was a noise issue during the night which was not the hotels fault but all things considered I paid to stay elsewhere on the 12th at Clifton bridge

Room was above a Bar & Grill, which was what we expected. It was a long walk to get there from the train station, and no Bus options. The room was pretty old but everything was clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

I liked it but it was a tight staircase to carry up any luggage, and I didn't realise how close the wall was to the end of the bed. Check in was pretty easy at the pub section of the hotel. The pub closes around 11pm-12am so no noises were heard. Plenty of free street parking. I like that one room fits like three people and I enjoyed the kettle, TV and hair dryer.

Price. Friendly staff The room had a horrible smell. We had an issue with the toilet and it blocked, and backed up into the shower drain! The pub was noisy until well after last orders - music, voices, doors. Our room was just above

Simple and easy, totally York style which is perfect for travelers who want to experience North England lifestyle. A little bit noisy as it’s on the second floor of a local bar. But it’s ok for most of people.

The buses are very slow

Very moisy,noisy, realize it was above a pub.wasnt clean,full of cobwebs and bunkbed running across top of double bed which was uncomforable.Noone around on the Sunday to checkout with, and couldn't get breakfast as everything closed and locked. Will not be staying here again.

Perfect location just on the outskirts of centre of York. Very close to bus route for easy travel to the centre. This is a local pub with accommodation above the premises. The staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble. Room was clean & had adequate facilities. The locals were really welcoming & made the stay extra special. The pub has a grill bar attached. Breakfast was superb. They also made stonebaked Pizza at night which were top notch Together with a first rate chinese take away right across the road we couldn't have asked for a better location N/A

Cosy room, nicely set up. Easy to access. Good bus routes nearby. Very noisy in the evenings until pub closes! Beds a little bit uncomfortable (bunk bed a bit firm) and missing a slat at the bottom of the double bed. Bathroom light temperamental!

There was a lot of noise at night and no cleaning over 3 nights so bin was overflowing and ran out of toilet paper on last morning.

The only bad thing is the shower floor had a crack in the base of it.

The staff were lovely and the room was cozy and warm and light. Bed was really comfy and bathroom shower was nice. Had a lush stay only 20 minute walk to city centre too. And showed the rugby in the pub downstairs which was nice. Pub closed at 11 so no noise The sink was a little clogged so took a while to go down and was slightly dated but didn't bother me at all.
