Pension Kinrinko Toyonokuni

A cozy and home-like welcome environment. The sheets made my skin itchy. The room was a little odor but I can’t tell what it was.

The location with the view over the very small lake (or large pond) was wonderful, especially in the early morning. Staff was friendly and room comfortable. Eating breakfast by a large bay window was delightful because of the views over the water and shrine. The onset facilities were small but still enjoyable. I expected better breakfast, or at least a Japanese breakfast.

I liked the bread and the beds were so comfy and the care was excellent. The view impressed me so much! The toilets in my room were cold and the doors inside were weak.

Great location, spacious room, and amazing view. I stayed in a tatami room, but unfortunately, I was bitten by bugs in the evening, which caused painful bites on my back and legs. I woke up at 2 a.m. and it took about an hour to get in touch with the reception. Thankfully, I was able to switch to a regular room with a normal bed around 4 a.m.

onsen and location smell and a bit too old

It was in a beautiful location. We liked that it was a lovely traditional Japanese inn.

The location was sensational. The view from the bedroom window out to the lake was a highlight . We both had the chefs suggestion for dinner and it was delicious, especially after a long day of travel. Before dinner we walked around the lake and every view was beautiful especially as the autumn leaves were starting. I would have been very happy to stay for a longer stay and explore the nearby restaurants in the town. Although land was at a premium at the site, an outside onsen overlooking the lake would have been the only thing I would ask for.

Property is an icon of Yufuin. Located on the edge of lake kinrin. It is tucked away from the crowd but walkable to the station, main street and flower village. The staff were very warm and welcoming. I had a wonderful breakfast there with a view of the lake. The property also has a very nice relaxing onsen with indoor/outdoor options

Location was good but everything else is not. Everything is old and dated including room, cafe and public onsen. Breakfast was mediocre. Totally not worth it.
