The room was spacious and comfortable, especially loved the tea scents in the room. Nice meals. The young non-Japanese girl staff was trying her best to assist us, which was very sweet. The outdoor onsens were good. Had this same issue with another ryokan we stayed in Yufuin, even it listed offering shuttle service and luggage storage, but their office is closed from 10am-2pm, and no staff on duty, so the service was no practical use for us and that's kind of upsetting.

The entire staff at Satoyamasafu is very attentive and helpful from the moment you arrive until departure. The room and facilities were very clean and spacious. We had a clear and beautiful view of the mountain from our room. Dinner and breakfast details were amazing and the service was incredible. We had an unforgettable experience and will always cherish this memory. Outdoor private onsen is in very close proximity to noisy neighbors. Issuing a warning to be quiet and considerate to neighbors would be helpful and appreciated.

The bedroom blind is not blackout and the passageway lights shine straight in. As we stayed 2 nights we were given western breakfast the 2nd day without being asked - we’re in Japan to enjoy Japanese experiences however it was nice but l learnt that you need to be clear on these points

Large room with Tatami mats. Efficient English speaking welcome by staff from Sri Lanka. No indoor slippers. The wooden floor (on the non tatami mat areas) was a bit cold.

Nice private onsen, meals were good. Hard to find although we could have had them pick us up at the train station.

I don’t have much negative to say about the facility but if I needed to list one thing. During dinner they had a neat and nice printout of what was being served but breakfast didn’t seem to have any unfortunately not a big deal to me as I still enjoyed everything on the breakfast menu

The open-air private baths are great for relaxing bath time and excellent view with mt. Yufu. The Japanese fine dinning cuisine, the facilities, and the service are all value the price of the accommodation fee.

Room has a superb view of Mount Yufu. Dinner and breakfast have rooms for improvement.
