The only problem with the room was the bed was harder than we like.

Breakfast was good but it was the same everyday with the exception of the main protein dish that was either salmon or mackerel. I think maybe if the breakfast was more different every day it could have been better but overall it was still great. Nothing much. It was great

The public bath was beautiful and the private baths are also super nice and perfect for those with tattoos. The dining area also has fantastic views of the mountains and the valley/town. They offer a pick up and drop off service daily to take you to and from town which was super convenient and made our travel much easier. The guest area has a wonderful view of a courtyard garden and a cool traditional seating area plus a calligraphy/shūji table. Overall it’s a super cool property and I would totally recommend! ~Nothing~

The private baths, the main bath, and the relaxing room were very serene and calming. The view of Mount Yufu from the baths as well as the dining hall was magnificent. Friendly staff. Well laid out details about their hours. Free shuttle rides to and from the nearest train station during the duration of the stay. It is pricey. A beautiful destination. Spacious. Wonderful view. But the quality of the foods doesn’t match the high price, though tasty and enjoyable very much. Felt the reality of the food cost and the challenge of the hospitality industry. Another note - staff training. It is important and beneficial to tea h the staff, who may not have much experience in Japanese cuisine, to lay dishes in the proper way, and in the identical orientation for each guest at a table For example, one guest cannot have a bowl of miso soip on their left, but on right for the other person. Not a single staff had this etiquette dialled in (Japanese or foreign workers)
