Loved the Japanese Style rooms and the onsen on the top floor. The view of Mt Yufu is stunning. The room smelled like sewer. Nothing that I did made the smell go away: air purifier, AC in maximum, ventilators or simply opening the windows. It was very disturbing to sleep with the smell.

- The room was spacious and had an ensuite toilet, shower, and sink + vanity area. - The property used Kosé Sekkisei products in the guest rooms and at the onsen. - Dinner was high quality and delicious. - Guests cannot adjust the temperature of the air conditioning/heater in their own rooms. It was either ON or OFF, so there were times that I felt too warm but couldn't really do anything. - I booked the room with half-board, but dinner was provided at a restaurant that's not on site. This meant I had to get picked up and dropped off by the restaurant. While I understand that this promotes local businesses, it was quite inconvenient since I had to rely on the rides to/from the restaurant vs. on site dining where guests can come and go at designated hours. I've stayed at many ryokans/hotels and it was nicer to go to dinner feeling relaxed in a yukata. - The onsen was closed from 9 AM to 3 PM for cleaning, but it would have been nice to enjoy it during the day as well.

We enjoyed our breakfast and the effort of the front desk getting us a taxi to the train station. The rooms were spacious and quiet. The location was a bit farther from the train station than expected. Town itself was small enough that taxi fares to where we wanted to go were very reasonable.

The onsen was great with beautiful view. The view and surroundings of the hotel was stunning.

We love the countryside location . The walk from the train station, though a bit far, is very charming. The trail is spotted by quaint cafes. Lovely onsen and footbath. Great mountain view from our room.

Room was comfortable. Ask for additional pillow from reception. Service is attentive. Only one of the room , out of 4 room s got the mountain view. 10-15 mins walk out to the restaurant on the street. At night when walking back, quite cold .

Great location, our rooms had beautiful mountain views. The bath was great, rooftop soaking in the hot water while it snowed was a highlight. Rooms a bit old and tired, everything clean but dry 80’s.

Beautiful! Typical and very spacious japanese-style rooms but also very confortable. The rooftop onsen is also beautiful, especially the outdoor one. Very very nice! We stayed only one night but could have stayed more just for this hotel

The room is spacey and the onsen has a very nice mountain view. A bit walk from the train station.

The staff was friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable. A bit of tatami smell which was fine to me and soon will ignore it. We were given a mountain view room with great scenery. No much eatery shops around. The hotel has a vending machine selling frozen food. Have to walk 5-10 minutes to nearby Aeon.

The daily breakfast buffet was good. Lots of variety of local Japanese and Western breakfast. Our room had a good view of Mt Yufu. The Onsen was good. The Staff were polite and very helpful. And ample carpark for guests.
