the manager was very nice and understanding. she was sorry she could not put us in the main, more historical building since all rooms were booked. breakfast was nice- but.....it did not help to lower my general disappointment. hotels promo material heavily emphasize the ability to enjoy the garden space for evening drinks and luxury dinners. the restaurant and garden was closed in the evening. it was open only for breakfast. the annex is a big building with old run down steps and dirty walls. Although the room was nice the total experience was very negative. the entry to the building did not have automatic light after entering. you have to use a switch that we know nothing of. we used our phone light to make it to the elevator. in summary - we did not receive the full package we paid for.

The hotel has an amazing location. We had a loft room for the three of us that worked out well. The garden restaurant was excellent and breakfast was included and delicious. The staff were super helpful and there is parking. nothing

The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The rooms were very comfortable & clean. The location was terrific & we really liked the Italian restaurant across the alley which was recommended to us by the desk clerk when we arrived. We appreciated having a hot breakfast as part of the room charge. It was delicious & presented nicely. Since our bags were heavy, it would’ve been nice to have an elevator. Also, I managed to get locked in my room the last morning of our stay! The rooms were a little dark & hard to control the temperature.

In a great location, the room was clean and lovely with a beautiful view of the water. Breakfast was delicious each day and staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend. Nothing, everything was wonderful!

Room was clean and stylish breakfast was fantastic We had arranged sea view room from booking and paid extra money but they said your reservation differant here We insisted to have sea view but unfortunately we had garden view room they said booking made a mistake and ask us extra turist tax 3 euro that booking did not inform us We had first time in Croatia like this kind of problems with booking

Almayer Art & Heritage Hotel is a lovely accommodation that is 3 minutes away from the beach, the sea organ, and sun salutation in Zadar. I was able to check in at night, quickly shower, and then immediately head to the beach to experience the sea organ and sun salutation at sunset. The whole experience was magical. In addition, Sasha gave excellent recommendations for seafood and was incredibly helpful with parking on-site. He also made me feel very welcome and comfortable (procuring ice so that I could have cold refreshments in my room). The breakfast in the morning at the adjoining restaurant was delicious and the relaxing and peaceful vibes of the restaurant might be some of the best in the entire city. Just thinking about the quiet morning I spent happily eating and admiring the restaurant scenery makes me nostalgic. I thought my room was a bit warm when I entered. I would have been a bit more comfortable had it gotten colder faster but I immediately checked in and then went to the beach to see the sun salutation and hear the sea organ at sunset, so there wasn't a lot of time for my room to get cool (the electricity depends on placing the key card in a holder).
