Hotel Blue

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The only positive aspect of our stay was the staff. Every member of the team was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely professional. Their service was excellent, and they did their best to make us feel comfortable. That is the main reason I am giving this hotel 3 stars. The hotel looks nothing like the photos on Booking.com. In reality, the property is old, poorly maintained, and not properly cleaned. The air conditioning in the breakfast area was not working, making it extremely hot and uncomfortable. It was almost impossible to enjoy breakfast. I also noticed that other guests were complaining about the same issue. I had specifically requested a king-size bed, but instead we were given two single beds pushed together. As a result, I kept slipping into the gap between them, which made sleeping very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel, and I will definitely not stay here again. Once again, I would like to thank the staff—they were friendly, professional, and did an excellent job. I have no complaints about them. However, everything else about this hotel was extremely disappointing.

The staff was great, the breakfast was solid, the parking was free, the rooms were good, clean and tidy. The hotel is located on a very busy street. Vehicles are constantly moving 24 hours a day, and a train passes only 50 meters away. In the hotel, even though we had a room on the top floor, it was impossible to sleep.

Forward going, communicative staff. It is located on the main street, so few of the rooms suffer from traffic noise.

The room was fantastic! It had a great view of Zagreb city. Being up high, there was little noise from the city. The included breakfast was great. I enjoyed taking the stairs to our 7th floor room for a little exercise. My partner really enjoyed the elevator:). There was a great restaurant next door, Tik Tak Bistro (I recommend the waitress Jana)

Hotel Blue was fine. It was easy to walk to other locations (if you are a walker!) or easy public transportation around the corner. There were establishments to eat at nearby. There were corporate offices on several floors. The views were of the city, but very large window space. A/C was a huge bonus. Staff was exceptionally helpful. For the cost...it was fine. A little street/train noise, but to be expected. Elevator was a bit off. LOVED the front desk staff.

The hotel room itself was nice, clean and pretty big for 3 people The parking spot is dirty and it really smelled BAD. Even for those 5-10 minutes that we needed to get in/out of the car it was not pleasant at all. AND we had to pay for that dirty parking spot although we stayed for the night at the hotel. That was weird for me. But if it only was clean... then it'd be okay to pay for nice parking.. Also, the receptionist could be nicer to the visitors. It was our first time in Zagreb and at that hotel and we had some questions but she seemed to be too annoyed by questions even taking into account it's her job.

This is not our first time that we stay at Hotel Blue, whenever in Zagreb this is our first choice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. Considering the parking problem one may have while staying in Zagreb, this hotel has its parking spaces available for some extra charge. The staff is very polite and welcoming, and the breakfast is served with plenty of food, snacks and beverages.

Not much Facilities are very limited for the price we paid and the 4 star claim seems fake
