The outdoor onsen smelled like cedar!! Very peaceful setting.
-
Good breakfast and good dinner. Good onsen
-
The building was wonderful and the food was really good. The on-site onsen was very relaxing.

Breakfast are grate, Room is huge, Location is extremely easy to ski. Smoking room air flow can be better.

Valuable chain resort hotel with old interior, normal food (but good cup cake) and strange service. Room: spacious at this price at this location, but it looks old and lack of maintenance. Private bathroom is that kind of modular hotel bathroom that it’s very small while the bedroom space is huge. No towel prepared. Private bathroom: small plastic-based old modular attached bathroom. I don’t like it as I can’t ? in a comfortable way. It’s clean though, looks aged. Onsen: boring with strange service. The onsen area is not huge considering the size of hotel and amount of guests. Shower uses button-activated tap which cuts water in a very short time (much shorter than other places) before I can actually wash something, so I have to continually tap it again and again, The open-air onsen (2 pools) is specifically boring as there is no view or special onsen water. Service: 10 minutes before onsen closes there are staffs wandering around the changing area telling you it’s going to close, which is uncomfortable. Hotel should train staffs in a better way. No onsen has staff ready to kick guests off before the onsen closes Ok? View: I saw no view. Super close to the mountain road though. Food: very normal taste hotel breakfast, but also cheap. Bakery is not bad, I love the salty caramel cup cake! Old room, small private bathroom. Staff in onsen watched and pushed everyone to leave onsen before the close time

Breakfast was great! Best we’ve had out of the four hotels we stayed at that served breakfast on this trip. Dinner was great too! Location had a stop on a bus line, but everything was a pretty far walk.

The breakfast is excellent. There are variety of foods and they are excellent. The room is not clean as expected in the Japanese standard. They don’t make the futon bed for the guests. You need to make it by yourself. This is not the standard for Japanese style hotel/ryokan.
-
Buffet is Superb. If you booked Japanese Style room, you have to make your bed by yourself.

Hotel provides a nice breakfast with large variety of food. This is the largest breakfast I have seen. Food is exceptionally good. Pancake maker is a nice experience. Onsen also nice Little far from the city. And toilets are not so clean. I wish there is another pan cake maker because waiting time is long.

It was our first night in Japan for this trip, we were impressed as the hotel is very family oriented : buffet dinner and breakfast, game room, onsen, swimming-pool, common area with free drinks before dinner... We loved the Japanese style room and wearing the yukatas around the hotel. Some of the facilities feel a bit aging, like the swimming pool or the stairs.

Best ryokan I've had the fortune of staying in. The perfect mix of modern and traditional. Gorgeous onsens both inside and out. Comfy beds and futons. Kind, attentive, and very informative staff. Great facilities. So many ways to enjoy a night in. The night cap was such a lovely touch. The breakfast... WOW. I've never seen such a large, variable, and delicious selection. My only regret is not staying longer.

The resort is very pretty and well maintained. The onsen/washroom was not tattoo friendly and restaurants were not easy to get to. Overall happy.

It would have been nice to experience the onsen. I have too many tattoos to cover, so I was not allowed to enter. Maybe if there were times throughout the day that tattoos were allowed, this would be the perfect hotel.

The staff were great! Loved the free night cap from 9 to 11pm. Free snacks & and a variety of alcoholic drinks. Additionally, the hotel had a lot of recreational areas. The beds, futons, and pillows were uncomfortable. This specific hotel is a bit dated and should prioritizing in renovating rooms. Pricy!
