Very friendly employees, great breakfast included and walking distance to anything in old town Zurich No air conditioning and only a cooling system that struggled to cool the room

The location is wonderful!! You even have a water fountain outside in the street to refill your water bottle. Also the staff are amazing people, and breakfast was very nice. Also we were able to have a good rest, there was no noisy noise.

Staff was excellent, everyone from the front desk to the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable with thoughtful interiors. I liked the fact that Air Conditioner would not turn on if windows are open, a good way to conserve energy. Breakfast options were good, and location is closer to the river and the old town, and easy to reach the tram station. I would definitely consider this stay again if my budget allows. Everything is good, price could have been little better.

I loved my stay. St. Joseph is the ideal hotel when you are looking for a comfortable, safe and quiet place to stay in Zurich. Location is perfect so close to the main train station. The personnel were helpful attentive and smiling. Breakfast was excellent: amazing variety and extremely pleasant outside terrace to enjoy it fully. Thank you so much and congratulations! No comments at all.

We were EXTREMELY SURPRISED to find air conditioning in our room! That, in itself, made it great. Didn’t like lugging our luggage from the train station up a few flights of steps in a major heat wave to get here. But it is what it is.

Human interaction is very important to me, and the staff at St. Josef was warm and very welcoming. The location, of course, is excellent, and the rooms are super cosy and clean. I will be coming back

Great location, short walk from train station and right beside the medieval streets in the niederdorf. Room was big and comfortable. Excellent breakfast and we had a nice dinner in their restaurant as well. Nothing.

The location is excellent, walking distance from Zurich Main Train Station, the Old Town, the Lake, and many museums and cultural venues. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is in a nice patio, with efficient service. My room has beautiful exposed beams and generous layout. I would return on my next trip to Zurich, and highly recommend hotel St. Josef to anyone. It's not a criticism, but guests should be aware that the hotel has two buildings - the reception and cafe are in one building and my room is in the second building. Having to walk outside to go to reception and breakfast was not a problem at all during my stay (when the weather is sunny and warm), but it may be a hassle during winter when it's snowing outside. Just a thought.

Location, near the old town and restaurants. We walked everywhere while there. There are just a few parking spots, but we got one each day. Annie (not sure how to spell her name) went the extra mile to secure tour tickets for the Lindt Factory, which was sold out.

We loved the location and hospitality. We liked everything about this stay.

The location was perfect. We could walk to the river and the lake, restaurants and museums. The breakfast was delicious with so much choice- eggs, meats, cheeses, breads, fresh fruits, fancy squares, fresh juices and more! Absolutely nothing. You are all so friendly and so helpful. I’m in a $709/night hotel and I’d so much prefer to be back at the St. Josef with fresh air in the main room and bathroom, with every detail so perfectly thought through and each member is staff just so pleasant and committed to their guests. A superb place to stay when in Zurich!

Really close to the main part of town and our room was like a loft/one bedroom apartment. Very spacious for me, my husband and our 11 year old son. The staff was so nice. We loved our stay. There’s nothing that we didn’t like.

Very comfortable hotel. Nice size room with little sofa. Great towels. Lots of outlets. Staff is extremely nice and helpful, make you feel really homey. Great breakfast with lots of variety. They even have parking, if you come with a car. It's a little on a hill, but 5-10 minutes walk to every thing important and to lots of restaurants. Just a little weird air-conditioning system. The 1st room we stayed had interesting bathroom configuration (see pictures), but the hotel changed our room and the second room was perfect. Highly recommended place.
