Please be advised that check-in takes place at the Hotel Alexander, located at Niederdorfstraße 40 (around the corner). The breakfast room is also located there. The Alexander guest house in the Old Town of Zürich is only a 5-minute walk from the Zürich Main Train Station. It offers you newly refurbished rooms and a 24-hour front desk. The financial center and the famous Bahnhofstrasse are easily reachable on foot. You can find many restaurants, bars and shops in the immediate vicinity of the Alexander Guest house.

The room ventilator didn't work priperly, but at the end it worked. Bedmatras where basic, didnt ventilate well.

There is no AC. The room is sort of small. Inwas on the first floor with the window facing a pedestrian street. So it is loud.

No AC.. 98 degrees and only an oscillating fan for 2 beds. It was at least 105 in the room. The fridge was barely working. We had to wet hand towels to attempt to cool down.

Even though temperature outside was not high (about 17-20 deg C), inside the room (in the guest house) was unbelievably hot...

Very easy walk to HB Zurich and easy to walk to old town restaurants. Gave a voucher for 5 francs off at the souvenir shop which was nice Had to lug suitcase up 5 stairs to get to the tiny elevator. Otherwise nice.

This is a no frills hotel, pretty basic and simple but what I need for just a 2 day stay.

Excellent location. I was placed in their annex property which involved lugging my bag to and fro during the check in process. If you’re in the main part of the hotel, you have access to the coffee in the lobby. In the annex, there are no amenities. However, it is quieter. Note there is no air conditioning at this hotel—it is not a good choice for the hot summer months.

-I didn't have a swiss plug for charging my devices so I was happy seeing the room has all types of sockets. -I've got a small chocolate gift at the check-in and it was really a nice gesture - Noisy ventilation in the bathroom that turns on automatically together with the light switch, it can't be turned off separately. - There are some locked doors in the room that are not part of the room and I heard another guest through that doors spaking on the phone, I could hear very clearly his conversation, so I think behind that doors is another room and it was a bit weird but luckily that guest stopped speaking on the phone after a while so it was quiet then.

Location, shower, elevator, bed was relatively comfortable, quiet and private Blow dryer did not work, refrigerator did not work, room gets pretty stuffy as it only has a radiator available, the elevator works but it is the smallest elevator I have ever seen (one person and a suitcase)

A little expensive for how simple it was. I wish they had in advance that the shuttle isn’t free I wouldn’t have booked here if I’d’ve known.

The person in the reception was very nice and gave me all the instructions to get to the room. The rrom was nice and comfy. Everything was ok.
