Classy hotel, perfect welcoming, perfect location, excellent staff. Good breakfast, limited variety but delicious. Drink selection in the bar. Cupboards in the room, not suitable to general style of the hotel.

Location. When you have a price tag of over 1000 euros a night you expect an excellent space and service and both of them were highly disappointing. The hotel is a mix of a few old buildings in the Center (best thing is how central the hotel is)mixed with modern features, decor and art, but for us it felt very tired, very dark, and in some places it was very cold like a hospital. Our room was ok, although again very dark and we were by their garden terrace and the noise of people there was constant, as the windows are not soundproof, this proved a bit of a problem as a couple of afternoons we wanted to rest after all day out and the noise was too much. The reception area has a permanent smell of sewage which again in a hotel of this level should not be happening. Also we were out all day for work and left the key with reception in the morning, to come back in the afternoon to a dirty room! Sorry but that was truly unacceptable at this price tag. The people at reception were overall very kind but also when we told them about the room it didn’t seem to bother them that much. At the terrace restaurant I tried and have a lunch but again the service was slow and didn’t seem that motivated so I ended up leaving. I normally do not write reviews but in this case I thought this hotel works on reputation but doesn’t deliver at all so I want other people to know about it.

The Location is great, rooms are very clean and practical. In short, there is nothing wrong with the hotel, save for the value for money. I travel all the time, and I can say that this is overpriced. The building would need a full redecoration. Apart from the library room, in between the old and new part of the building all corridors, lifts, doors, garden are to be refurbished. They are a cold ensamble of old and neutral materials. There is no soul to be a 5 star hotel.
