MEININGER Hotel Zürich Greencity

This hotel worked fine for a one night quick stay before our flight out the next day. It was clean and comfortable. It was cheaper than hotels in the main part of the city. The hotel was in the middle of what seemed like an office park. The trains were under construction nearby so what would have been only a 10 minute ride to the main train station was more like 20. There were no shops or restaurants nearby.

It was very dificcult to park without abylity to use parking application ( we could not get sms because we were not from Switzerland)

The beds are extremely comfortable!! I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. The size of the room is great. More than spacious for a family of 6. The kitchen downstairs in the common area only has 1 kitchen sink.

For its family room (4persons) with 24/7 kitchen to make simple meals . Feels at home. We watched together WC at night.

The hotel itself is nice and modern You have to pay a fee for early check in and your luggage considering we are all guests in the hotel.

Smell in bathrooms: smelled like chemicals. Shower had green residue in corners.

Cleaning staff were very kind. Gum stuck on bed, trash wasn’t taken out when i arrived, smelt like dust and i was barely able to breathe. I had to buy air fresheners because the smell was unbearable. There was a problem with my booking and staff laughed in my face when it was addressed.

Almost nothing Room was dirty. There was a big bug on our room. Everything cost a lot of money. Car parking was 30 frank per night??? Once we checked out they didn’t allow us to left our suitcases even for 2 hours. They said it will cost 6.5 frank per bag. Location is far from center. There is almost nothing around.

Convenient for a 1 night stay before flying out of ZRH. You cannot control the temperature in the room and calling to front desk only gets it to change 1 degree. Taking the Manegg station S4 train is great but due to construction it doesn’t go all the way to the main station currently.

I am late for check out 10 min thin I paid 20 ch Then take my bag and check out at 11.30

We were grateful for the washer and dryer but the system was not easy to navigate. Also they need more than 2 washers and dryers.

Location is good even though Google Maps will take you for a ride. Room space is very small. You don’t get a mini fridge, an eating table but you have to rather go down to the reception area to eat, use the fridge. There’s no pool or gym either. Plus you have to pay a big sum for parking and tourist fees. Be mindful of that!

It’s a very complete and affordable option if you are planning to travel to zurich! Slightly away from the city center, but it’s very well connected with trains to the center running every couple minutes. Overall very clean and good service from all the staff.

The kids liked their bunkbed in the quad room. The room was clean and the parking garage is spacious, easy to park in with a fair price for 24 hours/overnight. This is a little outside the city with nothing of interest nearby such as restaurants. It is really designed for group travel with students and young sports team, I did not know this. The lobby is super loud. The 5 franc water bottle from the vending machine is ludicrous.

The rooms were a little too industrial

Breakfast Having to put the key in the door to turn on the lights - I put mine in but someone else took it and I could not turn on the lights.

It's very basic and rooms are small. Location is not nice. Train passes by right next to the hotel. Coffee and luggage storage is more expensive than in the Zurich center.
