The award-winning 5-star hotel, The Playford MGallery by Sofitel, is a boutique hotel in the heart of Adelaide on vibrant North Terrace. Located opposite the Adelaide Convention Center and Adelaide Casino, The Playford is only a 10-minute walk to Adelaide Oval and the local shopping area of Rundle Mall is just 1476 feet away. The vibrant streets of the West End, filled with bars and restaurants, are only around the corner and the tram to the beachside suburb of Glenelg departs from outside the hotel. Each classically designed room features high ceilings, work desks, air conditioning, a TV with cable channels and a marble private bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities and a mini-bar are also available in the rooms. Some suites have a spa bath, separate living area and small kitchenette. Being a city based hotel, views from the rooms may be limited. Facilities include a 24-hour reception desk, a business center, valet parking facilities and a guest laundry. The tour desk can assist with day tours to the wine regions of the Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale as well as provide advice on things to see and do in town. The tram to Glenelg Beach departs from around the corner.

I stayed here 2 nights as I extended my stay. The room was gorgeous. One of the nicest rooms I have ever been in. The bed and pillows were super comfy and the robe was cosy and soft. I only had the breakfast one day but the options were great and the food was delicious. On the Sunday morning the housekeeping staff were making A LOT of noise at 9am. The check out was 11. I was on the phone to my partner (as I was woken by it) and even he could hear the vacuuming etc in the background. Whilst I appreciate the rooms must be cleaned, you would think it would happen close to or post check out time, especially on a weekend. I didn’t expect to be unable to sleep in at a 5* hotel. The other morning was slightly later maybe 9.30.

Location, very clean. Room was lovely and spacious. The pool had too much chlorine, my daughter and I got a rash and my husband nearly had an asthma attack. Not enough gluten free and lactose free options. The buffet was expensive for what it was, the bar prices were super expensive and the restaurant was lovely but the meals are tiny.

Our New York Loft was amazing, location spot on and facilities were brilliant. Staff were amazing. Very friendly and professional. We would have liked an old fashioned hard copy compendium in our room that listed hotel facilities, room service menu etc. Didnt like having to use a QR code for everything.

Perfect location close to everything we wanted to visit and see. Very clean and comfortable. Also the supplies are always there, you don’t need to ask. Nothing, we are very happy with this hotel. Can’t fault it!

Central, clean, modern. The thermostat was faulty - went from cold to too hot. Couldn’t control it. Tried calling room service/front desk a few time and seemed phone didn’t work. Could hear people next door sneezing/coughing middle of the night.
