The food was exceptional! The English breakfast was amazing & the dinner so full of flavour. Was a small room but felt very cozy & comfortable. Not that it was bad at all but the water pressure from our room 3 wasn’t the best but easy fix

The rooms were great. Beautifully laid out and a very comfortable bed. We arrived very late after a longer than expected walk - too late for dinner. But they were kind enough to make us some starters which were so welcome and delicious. Breakfast was also really nice and a good variety Nothing. It was all really great.

Shower had limescale so was not working properly. A lot of road noise and not totally blackout window treatments.

The hotel has a welcoming, helpful staff and the room was very comfortable and well designed, We looked out on to the village green and the windows are big, allowing cool air in the evening and affording a priceless view of the Alfriston church. The hotel is well kept and well located. And it is great value, especially when compared to other hotels in the village. Breakfast eggs could be better but other than that, everything was great. Lovely, spacious dining room and if it had not been windy, we would have sat outside on their very pretty terrace. Nice clientele too. We had great post-Glyndebourne conversations with several of the guests.

Beautifully appointed, comfortable bed. Our bedroom was quite hot being on the western side however it’s not surprising given the recent heat wave.
