Comfort Inn and Suites Ames near ISU Campus

Room was good, but the breakfast was not good at all.

Always a great stay.

When checking in, the guy behind the desk asked for my ID, then called me the wrong name while holding my ID. When he asked me to confirm on the little screen, it displayed someone else’s info completely- address, phone number, amount charged- I said “that’s not me” and he told me the computer was lagging and he had to reset it, so disregard. Very similar last name though… Had a feeling we were going into the wrong room- and we were. Went back down to the desk and said we’d had a mistake, and needed to be moved to the correct room. The girl working had me move back over to the man who originally checked us is - who again called me by the wrong name. Wouldn’t a name or address not matching up on the computer to the ID in hand be a red flag? They had trouble moving us for a minute because he had to “override something” when he checked us in… because it was wrong to start with. It was a big concert night locally- but take your time, read the ID presented guys, and save us all a little time.

Mercedes checked me in. She was AMAZING, very friendly and answered questions, explained where the room was, breakfast, WIFI. Room was very clean and I felt completely safe there. Parking was no hassle and it was very close to the ISU event center I needed to be at. Will definitely stay there again

Room was clean but if you need anything, don’t bother calling the front desk. They never pick up. I had to go downstairs several times for various reasons.

This place is always great to stay. The staff is amazing and prices are great!

The staff were so helpful in getting our rooms arranged and across from eachother and ready for an early check in so we could get to our family wedding on time. I had booked one night and then at last minute decided to book for the night before for the rehearsal, also. They made sure we could keep our same room so we didn't have to check out and check in again. Thanks so much for all your help. You made our wedding weekend so stress free.

We travelled to Iowa for a weekend stay. All 4 of us loved the convenient location. Breakfast included was a big plus. Staff was great and hotel was clean

What makes the difference at this hotel is the staff. From check into check out the hotel staff was amazing. I will stay here everything I have business in Ames, IA.

We stay here every time we are in Ames! Love this hotel for its many extras, great breakfast, convenient location and even offer washer and dryer . With a college kid in town we had to stay longer and appreciated that extra convenience

The front desk staff were very friendly. This trip I needed to use their laundry facility which was free. It was very clean too
