Gateway Hotel and Conference Center at Iowa State University

I would stay again. Quiet neighborhood. Outside area to walk/run. Hotels is nice and clean with some signs of age, The hot tub wasn’t easy to enter. A large drop off instead of steps.

Very good hotel recommended if you want to stay one night or two very close to the college convenient

stayed one night. everything was great. will come again.

Rooms.were.clean and spacious. Nice hotel. We will be back.

There was no hand soap in the room and th AC didn’t work properly.

Excellent visit for ISU move in weekend. The room was nice and clean, with plenty of room for all of our party of three. We will definitely be back for future visits!

Found the facility and amenities to be very inviting and accommodating. Is had a very vibrant presence with the start of the new collegiate year. Would plan to stay there again when in Ames, IA. I wish I had more time there to explore the amenities and area in more detail since I was only there for 1 night.

Arrived at 11 PM went up to my room pulled my covers back on the bed and there was four huge blood stains on the sheets. A little traumatized I went down to the front desk and they gave me another room. in the morning, I went down to get my proposed free free breakfast and the front desk person was very cold and rude stating she had no idea about any of the stated issues. I was very offended and she hesitantly gave me another free breakfast card. Due to her being so rude I went back to explain how offended I was and I still don’t believe she understood it. I felt like that should’ve been a free night. I will not return.

An okay place to stay. Rooms were large and over all remodel is done well. Crumbs were noted on the floor and some dirty walls in the bathroom. Barely any coffee or tea, no hot chocolate in the lobby in the AM. Staff was friendly on check in. Would stay again.

There was hair in the shower when we arrived and we had to open the toilet tank several times to get it to flush. These were not great. The location and restaurant were very nice!

Great stay, close to campus, neat and clean room.

..Never judge a book by its cover. The rooms are so clean, staff is so nice, and the beds are sooo comfortable. Check it out, may like it too!

Need extra pillows available

Great staff, welcoming. Rooms are clean and solid. Doors for the bathroom are the barn-door thing which has become popular for some unknown reason. Lots of parking. Great location just off campus. Big lobby if you need to do work. Restaurant and bar as well.
