The hotel is imo a great hotel. it was clean. the kitchen in the room was great. everything worked at the hotel except one of the doors to go outside. but it didn't matter cause there was two other doors to exi.the staff was respectful and helpful and also quiet if you like to sleep in. also the owner or manager I think he's the owner is there a few times a day so if you have a problem he can take care of it rt there. even the front desk people were respectful and helpful with any concerns. I would definitely stay here again there is a pool and hot tub also but I didn't use them so can't review them

The mattress was horrible with a deep right in the middle so my wife and I both were falling into the middle of the bed whole night. If mattress is bad, nothing else will make up for it because I book hotels to have a comfortable sleep in them.

Disappointing

I booked this hotel based on price AND that there was a pull out sofa bed my brother could use in the living room, giving both of us our own space with me in the bedroom. Also liked the full size fridge and generous table. The room was comfortable. 1. There were no sugar or creamer packets for the coffee in the room. 2. Had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed; none provided in room. 3. No extra blankets provided. 4. Small kitchenette with sink, dishwasher, and two burner stove. But no dish soap for sink and no soap for the dishwasher. 5. Dishes in dishwasher were dirty. Had been run but dishes didn't come clean. 6. We were 1st ones at hot breakfast that was provided and was disappointing...biscuits dry and gravy luke warm. Waffle griddle took forever to heat up and we didn't wait. Only froot loops and cornflakes available. Dispenser for fruit juice didn't work but clerk did come over and turn on. We just added hot water to packets of oatmeal and called it good.

Has suites so it is good if you want a kitchenette Nothing was available and working. Microwave was broken. Dishes were in the dishwasher, still dirty, fitness room machines barely working or broken. Pool useless. Breakfast horrible.

There were some stains on the wall and in the shower. The sliding door was broken (off its track) when we arrived. The towels were so scratchy. Not a bad place to stay for the price, but could definitely improve the facilities.

Good location, close to Iowa State campus. Ask for a room with 2 beds and told that they couldn't because there was a wedding that had booked the hotel,But there was never more than ten cars, the whole time we were there. Asked for sheets for the pullout Sofa bed and was given to small of sheets. Went back down to front desk to get bigger sheets. The gap under the door for the hallway left the light shine in all of the night. The breakfast for the 1st day that we were there was Biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were dry and crumbly.

The room was clean but sparce - no bathroom soap (used shower gel bottle), nothing extra, stains on furniture but clean enough. Hotel was in okay condition, area was somewhat industrial and other clientele was a bit shady. Breakfast was very sparce also. Surprised this hotel is still open but could've been much worse. Didn't go into the pool area or workout area (if there was one). Just used to sleep while visiting Ames.

We had to be moved because of our room hadn't been cleaned properly. Elevator was sketchy. We felt safer going up and down the stairs. The first also had no lock on the bathroom door and smelled like sewage. Second room wasn't much better. My daughter and her friend did not feel safe there either. There was alot of construction workers staying there that seemed to pay way to much attention to them.

Spacious rooms but poor condition

Older hotel but very quiet and comfortable. Overall kept clean though the carpet shows wear. Nice quality bedding and pillows. Liked having suite style with the couch, full fridge, and countertop. Had a handicapped accessible room. Shower chair provided.

Because of being an older hotel it showed a lot of wear and tear. Breakfast was good. Pool was clean and nice for children.

Nothing. Everything. We checked in, got up to our room, and we're shocked. It was 88 degrees in our room, there were no sheet and blankets for the sofa sleeper, the mattress was badly stained yellow and the fridge and bathroom were dirty as well. We promptly checked out. Unfortunately, they got to keep my 121 dollars even though we didn't stay.

The hotel felt safe and the staff was kind. But it was not the cleanest and was very worn. Our room had one plate, and just a strange collection of utensils and cups. Most all of it was still in the dishwasher. So, it’s a fine place to stay if you’re on a budget, but if you can spend a bit more, I would.
