This unique 3-star hotel offers rooms aboard a boat located on the River IJ at the NDSM Wharf in Amsterdam. The property includes a bar. It has a free 10-minute ferry service to Amsterdam Central Station twice every hour. The rooms have either land or views over the River IJ. Each room has a private bathroom and private restroom. A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning. Guests can relax in the bar area and play pool or video games. During nice weather guests can enjoy the terrace. The property is located at the NDSM-wharf. This former shipyard is now a place where modern life unfolds: festivals, events, art, flea markets, restaurants, bars and new architecture. Amsterdam Central Railway Station offers direct connections to Schiphol Airport in 15 minutes. From the station there are tram services to Dam Square and Museum Square which includes the Van Gogh Museum.

My reservation was from 10 to 14. However, my family and I were forced to leave the hotel on 12 due to the unacceptable condition of the room and the surrounding environment. On the same day, we booked another hotel (Room Mate Aitana) at our own expense because it was impossible for us to continue staying at Botel Amsterdam. Although I understand that my reservation was marked as non-refundable, this situation was not a change of mind or a voluntary early departure. We left because the accommodation provided was not reasonably suitable for a family stay. The issues we experienced included: • The room, located on the upper deck of the ship, was extremely dirty. This was far beyond ordinary cleanliness issues. • There were insects inside the room. • The bed and bedding were in such poor and dirty condition that I could not sleep in them. • The sink was placed outside the bathroom next to the coffee preparation area, which was highly unhygienic. • The room had a “B”-shaped layout with two round windows on opposite sides and no curtains, making it impossible for my family to change clothes or have any privacy. • The air conditioning was a weak floor unit blowing upward and was completely insufficient. The upper part of the room barely received any cooling, making the room very uncomfortable. • The corridors on the other decks contained garbage collection areas, and insects were present around those areas as well, making the overall environment unacceptable. Because of these conditions, we had no reasonable option but to leave two nights before the end of our reservation. We therefore lost the payment for the remaining two unused nights and had to pay for another hotel. In addition, I believe I should receive a refund for the City Tax corresponding to the two unused nights, as we were no longer staying at the property. The staff at the hotel where we relocated even advised me to contact Booking.com to request a refund due to the circumstances.

The staff were very kind, the room was tidied everyday and they did an amazing job with helping with my proposal. Highly recommend

I love boats. I slept in the “T” of Botel that you see on the picture. It was surreal.

Such a cool concept and loved how we got to stay in a themed letter. The tub was a great perk. Just like other reviews, we were unable to get the projector to work and that was a big reason why we wanted this loft.

Beautiful theme and clean property. We stayed in letter E where the main facilities of this attraction was the hot tub and big projector overlooking the room. Yet, the wifi was not working and the projector could not be use as paid and intended for. Evening shift could also not assist as they had no backup available to resolve or check this problem. Beds are comfy and soft. Pillows were quite stiff so had to go without.

The B room was so fun with the skate half pipe and the bed was so judge with the see on Amsterdam central.
