To have the water of the appropriate temperature you have to spend some time- it’s either boiling hot or very cold. The room itself isn’t comfortable neither is the bed - the top mattress tends to slide away from you all the time. The pillows are in a bad condition - very uncomfortable.

The location was decent, it was super central and easy to walk around. The staff at the front desk were always helpful and had smiling faces. SOO many things I did not like this property. 1. No lift - that was okay as it was already stated prior to booking. But we were on the fourth floor, the stairs are super narrow and steep so going down with baggage felt super dangerous even for able bodies. 2. Unclean - Even though the beds were made, there was a singular stale french fry (or chip) on the bedside table that was not from our stay, an empty ketchup container and an empty water bottle. It was evident that it was NOT cleaned prior to us staying there. Our beds were also unmade when we came back, even though we moved all our personal belongings out of the way. Our family felt super unclean and unhygienic everytime we walked into the room. 3. Pricing did not justify the stay - The room itself was super expensive! Even though it was at the centre of Amsterdam the amenities did not do it justice. For almost €400/night ($700 CAD/night), no lift, no cleaning, uncleaned room to begin with, NO HOT WATER FOR SHOWERING and no breakfast it did not seem like a great price. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location. The very steepy stairs

Front desk staff are nice. Location is okay. Bed bugs resulted in multiple bug bites all over my legs. The double bed was sinking significantly in the centre, and composed of 2 twin mattresses pushed together with a thin foam topper - it gave me terrible neck and back pain. Room was old and damp with burns in the carpet, deadbolt on the door didn't work. Lighting in the bathroom was coming off the wall. Lobby and hotel reeks of smoke despite being a nonsmoking facility. Lots of construction and sleeping homeless around the hotel made it hard to get around.

The people were really good. The air conditioning was great. My wife really liked the free fizzy water. My wife wanted to use the little safe in the room, but it didn't work. But nothing was stolen (I didn't think it was a problem). It took a little walking and a short train or bus ride to the sights.

terrible stairs for access. Difficult to go and worst with luggage

It was really disappointing for me the worst hotel I ever stayed in the room is sooo small and really cold the heating was not working the windows were not very good all cold air coming through and the worst thing was the stairs too many stairs and I was in the floor 5 or something I need to claim 20 stairs on each level and I paid 450 euros for 3 nights

It was fairly near to the city center The reception (check out and check in) are in a different building. The room smelled really bad, was extremely noisy, the sink was poorly design which favor water spilling to the floor, the shower floor wasn’t divided from the rest of the bathroom floor, the window mechanism was rudimentary and it’s risky for the hands and wasn’t noise cancelling, the hair dryer didn’t work. We also found lice on the sheets and listened all the noise that our neighbors made within the building. It wasn’t a pleasant experience, we do not recommended. Very expensive hotel compare to what it offers.

Location was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Expensive for what you get. Tiny room! 3 flights of steep stairs.

Nothing about this hotel was enjoyable Extreme flights of stairs before you reach the lobby and room. The room was dirty and smelled horrible. The room looked nothing like the pictures. The room had a ROACH crawling on the ceiling. I had to leave early and find new accommodations.

we loved the staff and the room was large and accommodating. the location of the hotel was pretty central however the 4 very steep and small flights of stairs was not something I expected to do especially with heavy luggage. unfortunately due to that I would not stay at the hotel again but for young people who don't have much to worry about i'd recommend it for a cheap and reliable stay! only other issue with our room was the doorknob to the bathroom kept falling off? if you are from the eu or uk you understand most places do not have air con and this place did not, being a high floor and warm for the season it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep in the heat and you can open the windows but you will deal with early morning wake up calls from the extreme amount of construction going on in most of central amsterdam. I wish I could say more positive than negative on this experience and I have nothing against the staff of the hotel as they are welcoming and accommodating but I would recommend looking elsewhere before settling on the good price this hotel was.
