The location and staff were excellent, I'd say unbeatable. The rooms are small, and facility seems cramped. Be prepared: you are there for value and location, not extreme accommodations and comfort. This facility is best if treated as a place to sleep and not enjoy. If you adopt this mentality, then the hotel is a great value, if however you are expecting a true hotel experience, then you will be disappointed.

Very clean and close to everything. I didn’t like the fact that it had stairs but we make do

Great People who own the place. Lack of AC but it’s okay

The location is amazing for exploring the city, the people working at the hotel are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, the rooms are cleaned daily. At the end we could leave our bags there until we had to go in the evening. Everything was great! ??

Affordable, very good location and amazing staff! I stayed one night and it suited perfectly. Ofc the stairs are tricky if you come with big luggage but that’s how this buildings are! so just prepare yourself to hike a little! The staff was so nice, upgraded my room for free and brought breakfast to my room! I had a nice view from the balcony and bed was comfy! for me everything was good! Maybe a bit noisy street but we are in a city and it’s located on a busy road haha

Room was a little small but that was expected

Excellent location, wonderful old world charm. Loved the staircase to get to the room.

We were leaving early in the morning, so the manager brought our breakfast to the room the night before. Some reviews complained about the stairs. That was just part of the experience. Everything was clean and well kept. I couldn't ask for anything more.

The hotel was very unclear with it's policies and will fabricate events to scam you. I definitely would not recommend trusting them with any of your information (Credit Cards etc).

Luggage storage option was great for us. Stair.

The location was good, and it was nice that they served a breakfast. The location was far from parking. We didn't like the very huge staircase to the room with luggage...

Staff was very corporative, and facilities were good and clean, though very tightly fit location very excellent, you can walk around to explore a lot.

The Location was great. the staff super friendly! The Stiars but they made it clear from the beginning there would be.

The staff are exceptionally friendly! One of the staff came down and carried my.bag up ~ as I was on the top floor, that meant carrying it up 3 flights of stairs! My room was perfect ~ basic but clean and very quiet. I shared a bathroom with three other rooms but it always was available (note: the hotel was FULL). In the morning, breakfast was brought to my room~ two pieces of bread with a Jam Pack, cheese, a hard boiled egg, salami pack, yogurt and a juice box. It was just right for starting the day. When I first arrived, I was hesitant looking up the flight of stairs from the door entrance on the street~ but it turned out to be the perfect place to stay, 5 min walk from Anne Frank Huis. And a lovely coffee shop for that morning cappuccino about three doors down. As I mentioned, I was hesitant about the steep stairs when I first arrived, but hey, this is Amsterdam! It’s an old but authentic hotel and in good condition. If you want to stay in the heart of everything, it’s definitely worth considering.

Wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and they set out breakfast early. My room was spotless, with a kettle for hot water, a coffee maker, and complimentary tea and coffee sachets—highly recommended.
