Hotel Not Hotel Amsterdam

Good location, very friendly and helpful night staff. Accommodating and understanding. Unfortunately our room had bedbugs, and we had to leave at 2am. The management took forever to respond to our refund request, it was stressful.

Very nice service. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. We had the tram and it was fun and comfortable. The area is right around the corner from the centre and there are nice shops and bars in the area. The shared toilets and showers are not ideal and where missing toilet paper very often.

Staff was friendly and the hotel is very quirky and fun. The location is close to the tram stop so easy to get to central. We got a room that had the bathroom integrated, as we didn’t like the idea of shared ones. In that sense, it feels more like a hostel, which I wasn’t impressed about. The shower was spacious, great pressure, but but would flood within seconds. The room itself doesn’t have a window, or air conditioning. They also don’t clean the rooms unless you spend 4+ nights there, again, kinda hostel-esque. No shower mat or face towel provided, just the shower towels.

Was very unique, staff was very friendly and the reception was 24h with snacks and drinks. Would be good for one or two nights. My own fault for not reading the description of this place as I didn’t realise it wasn’t proper rooms. I was in the smallest room with only a double bed and no room to move around. It’s shared bathrooms which I wouldn’t have had an issue with if I had of known it (I don’t know if it stated it before confirming booking) also think how much I paid was ridiculous for not having private bathroom. No aircon in our room so was very stuffy as it was 30° when I was there. There was a fan blowing but still too hot and uncomfortable

I liked the decoration. I paid for a room with shower and it was not working. I complained with the staff but they did nothing.

Hotel is located in a wonderful location. Easy to get around the city via tram (stop right at end of street). Rooms are clean, small but to be expected in a big city with old bones. Check in is at 3 - one room was not available which was annoying. No a/c made the heat wave hard to manage. Fan in the room helped.

Really cool, interesting concept with clean, spacious bathroom facilities. The staff wasn’t too friendly - especially one young lady with big curly hair. Really unfriendly and unhelpful when I had locked myself out of my room - she really tried to go above and beyond to avoid helping me. ‘Sorry, I need to clock off right now - I can’t help’ then stayed in the lobby on her phone for a long time. She asked another staff member to help me (very nice, helpful bloke!) although said ‘it’s the one room in the whole place with a super different, special key so they probably can’t help me’, then, after I confirmed that it was a different room to the one she had thought, she got annoyed and refused to help me even further. I provided my ID (the booking was under my name, and included my details!) The second staff member (the really nice bloke!) told me that she was lying and the key was all the same, so he helped me in. Left me with an absolutely horrible taste in my mouth for this stay, although the hotel was great itself aside from this really rude, unhelpful lady with the big curly hair. I’d love to provide more information on this to help future travellers being stung by the same bad experience/person. Really let the place down.
