Room was perfect size for one. Having the breakfast in the hotel was very handy. Lots of healthy food. In the hotel, different from going to eat out, you can eat as much as you want and €15 is a bargain. The sweet things I personally didn't find them great. The staff members were super friendly and kind. They really make a big difference! Location a bit far from city center, but metro is just 2min from the door step. Bathroom spacious and clean. There were mosquitos in my room, so I couldn't sleep well for 2 nights of the 3. My window was facing the front of the hotel (I didn't open them mosquitos were there before me). Then I asked the reception and they sort it out for me. Also, because of the location of my room, I could hear people talking in the parking. Thankfully it didn't last very much. Some other guests would bang their door in the corridor very loudly. A matter of people manners and perhaps a weight on the door so it would close more smoothly. Despite this, I love it and I would return for sure.

Easy to go to amsterdam city centre with metro. Property is fine but there is no coffee sachet in the room. You need to pay 2€ to get the coffee from vending machine.

The hotel offers good value for the price. The location is very convenient because it is close to both the metro and train stations, making it easy to reach Amsterdam Centraal in around 20 minutes. The Wi-Fi was excellent, and the reception staff were helpful, including helping me with the Qibla direction for prayer and room was clean. There were several maintenance and service issues. We booked two rooms, and the bathroom sinks in both rooms drained very slowly and filled with water before draining. The refrigerator in one room was not cooling and had to be replaced the next morning. The air conditioning was also poor; I would set it to 18–20°C, but it sometimes returned by itself to around 30°C. The TV had a serious colour problem and everything appeared red, making it difficult to watch. When I reported it, I was told to try adjusting the settings myself. There is no room service, even for water. You have to go downstairs and buy drinks from a vending machine, which did not accept card payments and required cash or coins. There were also no tissues in the room apart from bathroom tissue. Breakfast had very limited halal options, and the surrounding area is very quiet with almost no supermarkets or suitable restaurants nearby, so we had to take the metro to find more halal food options. The My Way parking system also stopped working automatically on our last day, so we had to contact reception to manually open the entrance and exit.

I had a really lovely experience staying at Joy Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and accommodating throughout my stay. What stood out to me the most was how helpful they were even after I checked out — they kindly stored my luggage for me until I was ready to leave, which made my day so much easier. The staff genuinely made me feel welcomed and cared for. Their kindness and excellent customer service really made a difference. Thank you, Joy Hotel, for such a pleasant stay.
