Staff were super welcoming and arranged an extra blanket for the double bed and gave good recommendations for breakfast cafes :) Really appreciate the 3rd bed being in a tiny adjoining room- great for privacy if you have mixed gender company (we were 1 guy and 2 girl cousins) The canal view is lovely. Our room was facing a quiet street and noice cancellation was perfect. The terrace overlooking the canal is perfect for a relaxed breakfast or evening drink. And there was a happy hour every afternoon from 4-6pm with complimentary drinks and snacks! Very well connected with trams, also only 15 mins walk to the city centre or the museum quarter. Will definitely book again next time we're in Amsterdam. Bathroom door glass is slightly seethrough in places, but it didn't bother us that much. The aircon machine on the floor was bulky and a bit tricky to operate, with leads easy to trip over. But at least there was the aircon option!

Good location. Happy hour bar and outside seating was great. Nice staff. Bedroom 2 was a tight fit. Asked for two single beds for the children but there was only 2 doubles. Shower mixer was difficult to operate.

Happy hour was a nice touch to have a drink and sit outside alongside the canal. Nice bathroom. The staff were helpful assisting with maintenance issues. The fact that we couldn’t get cold water in the shower and maintenance had to be called. We were aware there was no air con but there was one installed just not working and the fan provided was dusty so we didn’t use. Also small fridge that didn’t work. Again maintenance called to swap fridge but realised it was the PowerPoint but it still didn’t work. We had triple deluxe room which one room was the length of a single bed mattress so if you are taller than 5.7ft it meant you couldn’t sleep with legs stretched out. When checking out we noticed on reception counter a large map of Amsterdam which would have been helpful to be given that when checking in but no staff gave one to us.

The hotel was in a lovely area very close to the Heineken experience. It had a lovely outdoor terrace by the canal and the hotel offered a complementary happy hour between 4-6pm with drinks and nibbles on the terrace which was a lovely touch. The stairs are very steep and we were on the top floor as the hotel is a very narrow building there was no lift. The shower didn’t work very well the first day but we let the staff know and the said they would get maintenance to look at it straight away and it worked ok after that. The decor was starting to look a little shabby. Just a stand alone aircon unit that had a pipe out the window was very noisy.
