Hotel Atlanta is on the edge of the lively Rembrandt Square with many bars, clubs and restaurants, only a 3-minute walk from the Flower Market. The painter Piet Mondriaan lived and painted in this hotel between 1904 and 1907. Examples of Mondriaan's paintings can be seen on the walls throughout the hotel. There are rooms with shared bathroom facilities in the hallway and more luxurious rooms with a private bathroom. Every room has Wi-Fi. Hotel Atlanta is open 24 hours a day. Fantastic location and great sized bedroom/bathroom. Like all places in Amsterdam, the stairs are very steep, but this isn’t a reflection of the Hotel itself.

Location, history. Bed bugs and pin size red bugs on the bed. Ants on the sink.

Well situated and friendly staff. Old and in need of a good deep clean. The room smelt and the bed was hard. Overall not great for the money, but not bad for 2 stars.

The location was very nice and easy to get around places. It also did come with the basic things you’d expect from a hotel (bed, sink, pillow, towel) There is no elevator and you need to climb very steep stairs. Unfortunately, I was at the very top floor and I had two suitcases which was beyond annoying. My room was also insanely hot to the point where I was dripping sweat just sitting on the bed, thankfully there was a fan, but it was not powerful enough to cool the room whatsoever. I visited during a heat wave so it’s not completely on the property. However, I can imagine just during the summertime it would be insanely hot. Still the bathroom and showers are located outside the room and did not have soap where it was supposed to be if you book, bring shower shoes Because you’re sharing the floor with everyone else. I needed to leave after one night because of how hot it was and transferred to somewhere with air conditioning.
