Zoku Amsterdam

This apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location was perfect for our exploration of Amsterdam. The property was clean, well planned and thought out. It was well located to the sites we wanted to see. It had all the amenities we needed for our stay.

Went from fresh new 10/10 to a stale dying mode in 3 years. RIP. They were already charging big buck, but it is a dirty hostel at best, zero value for money, it smells like an old cloth. 1) While entering the room we were met by a beautiful handwritten note waiting us on the dining table, But OH NO it was next to a Giant poop stain on a couch next to it. Yeah, cleaning probably didnt see it right? No, it because most likely every room is like that. We got a room with a dirty worn out couch. Asked to change the room, first option is to wait until tomorrow with a pooped on couch, that was very generous of you, thank you. Or get another room, anyway we enter "new" room, but who would've guessed the couch there was looking the same, just a bit less poop stains but also some white one, possibly semen? Looking under the mattress was a big mistake, stains everywhere. We specifically chose Loft XL to make use of a living area with a couch, but we couldn’t actually use it, bc it was too disgusting. 2) Cleaning wasn’t done well. Remote places such as shelves next to the bed were very dusty. The floor wasn’t mopped (white socks got dark very quickly after walking through the loft) 3) Appliances worn out: kitchen hood not working, extremely dull knives, one pot was dirty, dishwasher stinks and shows lack of salt and rinse aid. 4) The shared pantry mentions ice machine on the door, but it wasn’t there Overall the place is clearly in a economy mode, doing bare minimum maintenance

The room is very cozy, I really like the planning and the facilities — they have kitchen, dishwasher and microwave inside. Especially enjoyed the bed placement — very comfortable and convenient for in-bed laptop sessions.

Great vibe and clean. Very comfortable rooms. My 2nd time here. The dinner is okay. If I hadn’t been so tired, I would have eaten elsewhere.

Great room, beautiful breakfast, quiet and comfortable, appreciated the rental bikes on-site!

It’s a cool hotel to stay at.

Liked the common area on the top floor to have a drink and hang out. High price for location

Was conveniently located to many sites. It have many things on-site such as restaurant, outdoor space, in-room kitchen, nearby gym and other eating establishments. Only single thing I’d add is an additional wall mirror outside the bathroom for a second grooming/make-up space.

Would've appreciated slippers and robes in the room.

The set up was unique and good space for two people. It felt secure and the top floor restaurant, where checkin is, had open air seating and vegetation that made for a beautiful experience. N/A

Everything!! A brilliant concept. Home away from home with everything you need. The staff were friendly and helpful. The reception, lounge, bar, garden terrace were creative, fun, beautifully decorated and warm. We had the Loft XL and stayed for 11 nights and it was big enough and comfortable. Loved the pantry at the end of the passage if we needed more towels, dishwashing tablets, ice buckets etc. They have really thought of everything. Nothing. Loved everything!!

The breakfast is great! I do feel the rooms are a little overpriced. The bed was comfy and showerer roomy! You couldn’t see TV from the bed which we enjoy falling asleep to. And this visit our TV reception was so bad we couldn’t even watch it.

Room was nice. Two things missing that would have improved the stay were a luggage rack and box of facial tissues The staff while they were all very nice, weren’t very helpful when it came to recommending outside restaurants near the hotel, their answer was oh I don’t know.

Adorable room! I wish there was a way to see the TV from the bed

A blend of art, culture and comfort. Rarely I’d give a perfect score, but Zoku was everything and more you’d expect from a stay that’s redefining the industry. Super cozy, central, very hip. Not the most luxurious but definitely the most efficient.
