Hotel Adolesce

Great Location away from the crowds, halfway between Amsterdam Center and the Museum Quarter. The owner is a very attentive host, he gave me a room upgrade upon arrival and was always willing to give me recommendations about the city. The hotel has coffee/tea/sandwich/snacks station for 24 hrs. The tea selection is pretty good but the coffee is not great and most of the snacks/pastries are pre-packaged.

Very clean, comfortable, quiet, traditional Dutch building. Had everything we needed. Sliced salami, cheeses, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, milk, coffee, crackers, bread available at all times. Close to underground station. Not an issue for us since we were prepared and it adds to the dutch experience but noting for others that stairs are very steep. Would be hard to do if have large suitcase or mobility issues.

It was close to everything yet on a quiet street. The complementary breakfast and coffee was a nice touch. Everything was clean. The owner is such a kind man and I enjoyed talking with him. It didn’t affect my stay, but the house does not have air-conditioning so if you go in the heat of the summer, it may be uncomfortable. However it was cool during my stay and it wasn’t an issue.

We LOVED hotel Adolesce! This was an AMAZING location. It’s in a quiet neighborhood near the H’ART museum and a short walk to everything. There is also a metro station close by making it very convenient. The room was very spacious with a queen and full bed, private bathroom. The view overlooked the quiet canal and the Hermitage building. Absolutely fell in love with the view and location. The staff was friendly and they had snacks available. We would have gladly extended our stay here had it been available - we really fell in love with this location! As is the standard in Amsterdam, the steep winding stairs will be difficult for people with trouble walking and climbing stairs. It is a half flight of steps to get to check in, and then you may have 2-3 more flights of steep winding stair cases to get to your room. You will need to carry your own luggage. For us this was not a problem but would be too difficult for people with mobility issues.

Very close to the metro. A 5 minute walk. Very friendly owner. Breakfast and snacks are always available and included. The steep and narrow stairways. No lift. Also the toilet has no ventilation but there are sprays.

The room was very comfortable and with a very pretty view. The location is perfect for someone who prefers walking around. The Opera, the botanical gardens and zoo, being a short walk away, just as a great number of reality nice restaurants.

property was extremely clean and comfortable. Nothing. everything was perfect! the steep ( original) staircase might prove difficult for some seniors or those with ambulatory issues.

The location, terrace, snacks that were available 24/7, comfortable beds

Excellent location. Breakfast 24/7 we arrived very early and our room was ready, which was great because we were able to prepared ourselves to go out early. You have a lot of things to eat 24/7: juices, coffee, cereal, milk, hams, cheese, etc, fruits, yogurt. The room was super big with excellent view to the cannal :) I left my hat on the lobby and I was worried, but when I came back it was there :) Nothing. Everything was great.

The hotel is very clean and the host is a very kind and available person. I had the highest room (4th floor) which has to be reached with stairs. Fresh bottled water is available at the top floor. The room was big, with all comforts and very cozy. Everything that could have been needed was ready and available, and this is not given for granted nowadays. If I get back in Amsterdam I'll surely reconsider staying in this hotel.

the host was very kind and friendly, the place was clean, lots of snacks for free, small gesture but very appreciated when everything is expensive in the city. They can also hold your bags if your departure is later on the day. steep stairs so not good if you require accessible accommodation
