Aspen Suites Hotel Anchorage Downtown

Hotel was nice, and relatively close to the downtown area. Airport shuttle service is my only reccomendation.

Too many lights, not enough mirrors. Shower was fine and location was a bit off but close enough if you like to walk. Staff was very nice. On the first floor you kept hearing a door slam.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

The only downside was that our room overlooked the car park. Unfortunately, groups of people gathered there late into the evening and into the early hours of the morning, talking, laughing and yelling, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. If you're staying here, I'd recommend requesting a room that doesn't face the car park. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, and we'd happily stay again if we could get a quieter room.

Stuff let us in early and gave us larger room instead what we booked.

Easy walk to the convention center to catch the bus to Seward.

After reaching the room was too hot and AC was not working at all. Even opening the window did not cool down the room enough to have a sound sleep. There was no one in the reception to address the concern.

The place was well maintained and the staff was very friendly. Very accommodating. We felt very comfortable there.

Good facilities overall! Decent staff! Some of the facilities were a little dirty, and they have laundry but it’s not the most efficient! I wish the breakfast was free and not $15 a day, but overall great stay!

We booked a studio with kitchen. Checked in at night. Next morning, we found the kitchen sink was leaking. We called front desk immediately, and also told cleaning staff about the issue. But until we left, nobody come to fix it. Front desk staff excused that their repair person was not available.

Cold room, hot shower, comfy bed. What more could ya want

Rooms and staff were good. The check-in, lounge, cafe space could use some improvements as it’s not very inviting. I would either suggest getting rid of the 8th St Cafe space or drastically upgrading. It didn’t appear to be used much and wasn’t a place as a tourist I felt comfortable enjoying an evening drink at.

Our toilet wasn't working when we arrived. They said they were sending someone up, no one came. The best they did was offer for us to use the restroom down stairs in the lobby, weren't compassionate at all! We asked for another room and we didn't even get a response!

Clean room and perfect location. The bartender was really friendly and helpful.

There were a couple hiccups, such as the rooms.Air conditioner was not working. I was told they didn't have any more room but when I insisted I could not stay in the room , they did find a new room for me. But they did not change it in their system, so they were trying to kick me out. The next day When I had paid for 2 nights already. This was annoying since the only reason we booked the room was because we had a red eye flight and wanted to sleep in, but they were banging on my door at 11, asking me if I needed a late check out. I advise them no I had already paid for the second night. These were minor things that were incredibly annoying, but the hotel itself was clean and well kept up nice security In a good neighborhood. They were out of regular coffee and only have decaf. Another small thing that led me not giving them a five star.

Staff really made this place wonderful. Everything was clean and organized. I really enjoyed staying here and will continue to do so in my travels into anchorage
