Van der Valk Hotel Antwerpen

We have an upgrade… and it was wonderful. I booked room with bigger bad, and some extras, but they were fully booked, and we have suits as bonus. Beautiful bath, view, and other. Bath was wonderful plus after long trip. Suits also have beautiful interior The breakfast was the great too. Navigation to the parking not visible when you have a long-distance drive and little unfocused.

Friendly welcoming staff (early evening). Comfortable room and bed. Great breakfast. Walk down street to catch tram to central station. Free parking. Nothing

breakfast was way too expensive and a different price than what they said online.

The dark wall painting and equipment make the space look smaller and gloomy

Comfortable. Easy access to hire. Not far felt where I needed to go. Staff were very good. Overall lovely

Great also with charging facilities for our electric car. Great breakfast aswell. Bedroom was quite dusty and the bathroom a little worn but not too bad.

we arrived late, just before midnight, two receptionist were busy looking for a room....they assigned us a room furthest from the lobby. Once we got to the room we open the door and see its been used and dirty! having to walk all the way back, had to waste our time explaining the situation, the receptionist assigned us another room - took her time, then she went to check if its clean...basically wasting our time at the hotel. we asked to speak to a manager, only to find out there isn't one available because its weekend and she advised us to speak in the morning to another personeel that will address the problem and compensate us for this inconvenience. the receptionist in the morning couldnt do anything, he asked for my details and promised that a manager will email me. They did not (obviously) many days later I sent an email requesting a refund for this inconvenience...they said that we had already been compensated with a 1hr late check out which was ridiculous. i wasted now more time corresponding with them which made this even more aggravating. bottom line - bad and unprofessional hospitality skills. they need to learn what service is and how to deal with mistakes that they make instead of making the paying customer feel bad!

Comfortable room, reasonably clean and very pleasant staff. Distance from the center of Antwerp required use of the tram and took 20 minutes. We knew we were outside the center and were happy we didn’t take the car in as it was very crowded and parking would have been a problem. Decent hotel but not as new and pristine as sister hotel in Gent.

Convenience

Bar and restaurant was amazing! Parking convenient and very dog friendly and accommodating. I loved my entire experience . Would be nice if there were more grass areas for pets.

They have free parking and a nice bar downstairs. The staff was super nice. We stay in a room with an strange smell and the second day the smell was even worse.. They change our room and told us there was a problem there since before. I don't understand why they let us stay in that room from the beginning if they knew there was a problem with this super strong smell. Besides that the staff was super nice.

Breakfast was really good, and the rooms comfortable. Overall it is a very good experience. On positives being rather away from noisy city centre. Still very useful to have close by tram and bus stops to reach city center in less than 30 minutes. I cannot think of something.
