Relax Inn At Ashland

No ice. No hair dryer. Towels were stained. Bathtub did not drain. No blackout curtains. Cheap but not relaxing at all.

Bed was decent, everything for one night plus a microwave and mini fridge which was nice. Also nice was a bedside table on each side of the bed with lamps and outlets to charge your stuff. It was quiet probably due to cinderblock construction. No sounds from either side. The only downside was it was in the mid 90s temperature and the cinderblock motel literally bakes in the sun all day. The small AC unit was woefully inadequate for even a small room when its that hot out. Reminded me of camping in the heat. I would consider staying there again if it was only 68 out.

We stayed here for two separate weekends over my daughter's graduation time. Basic, clean rooms. Family-owned and friendly service. I did ask for an extra pillow in a single queen bed-room (there were 3 pillows), and the owner would not give me one, saying they only offer 3 pillows in that room. Better customer service would have just been to give me the pillow. Otherwise I found the staff friendly and responsive when I needed more towels, get another key card, etc. The refrigerator in the first room was too cold, and froze our food, but we turned it down and was perfectly functional. The beds and pillows were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom showers and tubs were a older but fine condition and very clean. I would stay again for the price and value of a basic motel.

Clean and newly updated. However, no ice machine. We were able to get a cup of ice in the office. No breakfast. The room is very small! Staff friendly.

Outside of my door had dents all over it which was concerning. The tub had been painted over and looked dirty

Easy to find. Close to Ashland Here’s where it’s going to be long. My card key stopped working a day into my four night stay. After trying to reprogram the key, the entire door had to be reprogrammed. The next day, a complete stranger walked into my room, saying that the motel had told her there was no one staying in this room. They literally gave her a key! Thank goodness I was literally just napping and not, i don’t know, showering??!! Or that I was there and she was an honest person. My stuff could’ve all been stolen, all because they didn’t check to see if I was still there. And when I brought this up, all they said was ‘sorry, our bad’……does this even begin to make up for this experience, not to mention the rest of my stay I have a nagging feeling that someone else might just waltz right into my room because at any time they could’ve been given a key.

It was clean and the office staff was responsive The bed was hard and the sheets were not soft and relaxing
