Ambrosia Suites & Aparts

The room is extremely basic and not what I was expecting from the images I saw when I booked. The area is not good and my children who are teenagers were nervous to walk nearby. We stayed in Athens again at the end of our trip in a beautiful apartment which was in a good area and cost less money.

Staff is ok, breakfast is not the best but fair. Rooms are clean and afordable. The location is in a dark area. Prostitutes around the corner and a sense of unsafety around the Hotel. It is maybe ok for a single traveler considering it is at walking distace from city center but for traveling with family is definately not the best site.

The hotel was pretty decent for the price. Front desk staff was very nice. Room was a good size and the bathroom was alright too. It had a working fridge and AC. Bed was pretty decent. Glad there was an elevator. Breakfast was pretty decent. Close to busses and metro's. Easy to reach. The location is a bit questionable, mostly after dark. During the day it's fine.

The room was big and comfortable. There was breakfast everyday included. The location may bother some people, as some other reviews say there are some weird characters around at night, but to me it's not a big deal, I walked around late at night and very early at morning, and nobody really messes with you, and it was close enough that I just walked to every major tourist attraction, there are also groceries stores, restaurants, cafes and pharmacies and the metro station close by, so to me it was really good.

Ambrosia is perfect for a budget traveller. It is very central to everything, sites, transport, restaurants. Almost everything is in walking distance. The room was perfect for a few days stay. The breakfast hearty. The staff friendly and helpful. The only negative, the shower's hot water kept cutting out but would come back shortly after.

Everything is excellent ?

Nice staff; excellent location, about 3min walk from Omonoia Station. Great breakfast with decent amount of options and everything was always fresh! The only downside was that my room's balcony door did not close well (broken perhaps), so I could hear the noise from the street during the night.

The location and the breakfast were the main thing to recommend this place. The bad smelling of the entrance and hallways. It is like being near a sewer with humidity

This is an older and smaller hotel (rooms are a bit dated) but it has been well maintained and the facilities were spotless! Lovely bright dining room(seemed to be recently renovated) and an excellent breakfast - delicious peach and orange juices(best we have tasted in Europe -no kidding!), breads, yogurt, jams and honey, hot scrambled and boiled eggs, ham, cheeses, and yummy sliced tomatoes, olives, cucumbers. Vasili(?) the breakfast and housekeeping lady is amazing! We appreciated all the desk staff very much as well, who were all so helpful in advising us on buses, metro, distances to walk to certain attractions, restaurants, etc. We discovered that this hotel is truly in an excellent location, in terms of close proximity to Omonoia Square, the buses, metro, shopping, etc. Comfy bed and good (hot) shower and bathroom facilities as well. The actual property location was on a side street that was rather rundown and a little noisy in the pre midnight hours. However, this side street was very very close to Omonoia Square and we did not ever feel unsafe. Otherwise, we really liked this hotel.
