Friendly helpful staff, decent breakfast, large comfortable room, and very well maintained. Methadone drug treatment around the corner. Needles laying in the sidewalks and Street, people shooting up, people tweeking out front. They didn't bother people, but........

    The location wasn't the best

Close to town. Lovely room. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff The area was a bit dodgy. Metro station a little far, maybe 600 meters.

The air conditioner was nice and cold. It was extremely hot when we visited Athens the end of June. The bed was comfortable. I left an item behind but they said they could not find it The area was a bit dirty but really Athens is really dirty. So it’s kind of the same everywhere. They recommend a hotel was secure, you needed to be buzzed in

    Good

The room I received had the window looking towards the fire escape stairs. In addition the outside air condition units are also located on the same stairs, and they tend to be quite noisy if used during the night. The room was OK, but it had a "funny smell" most likely related to cleaning products that are being used.

It was a 5* family run hotel in a run-down area. But don't let that put u off...... It is in an area of regeneration. 24/7 reception, very friendly staff. We booked the king-size bed. They can order you taxi to & from the airport. All this is for a very reasonable price for a city center hotel. It's comes with a very adequate breakfast. What's not to like. We will be back....... That we only stayed one night.

Good quality breakfast, nice and helpful staff, nice and comfortable room. During our stay (March 1-5, 2025), the area around the hotel was a disaster (specially Aristotelous, Sokratous and Kapodistriou streets), full of junkies and prostitutes night&day. One day, in the early afternoon, we saw a woman lying in the street, apparently seriously ill or maybe even dead, and nobody cared about her. People were walking by her as if it was a normal scene for the neighbourhood, and that was shocking too. We heard sirens of Police and Ambulance arriving on the scene after a long time. Let's be clear: this is NOT the Hotel staff&management's responsibility, of course, and we don't know if this the usual situation around the hotel's premises. Our opinion about the services provided by the hotel is very positive, but - if I have to be completely honest (and I have worked for over 30 years in the travel trade) - I can't recommend it to anyone, unless they only move by taxi. We didn't feel in real and present danger, but we NEVER felt comfortable walking from/to the hotel, at any time of day. We chose it because it is close to Omonia Square metro station, and Central Athens (Monastiraki, Plaka) is within walking distance. But next time, alas, I'll choose a different area to stay in Athens, unless the situation there changes radically.

Although the location is quite central, near the Omonia metro station and about 15 minutes walking distance from Monastiriki, the streets did not feel quite safe. We did not have a problem with nobody and the hotel did offer a sense of security because the front doors are only opened by the receptionist.

The staff was very friendly and helped me with everything I needed. You could hear everything that was happening on the street, it had all the windows closed and even so you could hear a lot, it’s a pretty busy street.

    Clean room, good brekfast

Amazing stuff, great breakfast, nice location and cozy accomodation in general. What a traveler needs in Athens, they have it at all.

  • Engine customer Nov 2024

Very friendly staff, awesome location and good price. Poor breakfast offer, not even 1 chair in the room so it wasn't possible to use the desk to work, and no shower curtain - so the bathroom turned into a pool. There are also some parties at the ground floor, so it's sometimes very loud in the rooms.

Area is very bad. There were homeless people, drug users, and alcoholics on the sidewalks in front of the hotel. We couldn't even get out of the car because we were worried about our safety and went to another hotel Area is very bad. Room was clean, staff was very helpful and breakfast was good as well as diverse. One light in the room didn't work, was rather dark there. Before we went to bed, a prostitute knocked on our room door and wrongfully claimed we had called here. Bit of a weird interaction, that I guess one has to expect due to the location being in the red light district or atleast with multiple prostitutes standing within 100m. Some windows don't seal perfectly, leading to quite some noise.
