Bathroom was rather small (but everything was there) You couldn't leave the airco on when you left the room

Breakfast was awesome! Bed was hard, bathroom smelled bad.

Loved the location and the staff. The building is nice and everything is clean and well appointed. Breakfast is good with a wide range of food. We had an early checkout due to an early plane and the staff made us a ‘pack-up’ breakfast without being asked. To me that is above and beyond. We had a deluxe double room but it was small and a bit dark. The beds are small doubles. It would enhance comfort considerably to have king size beds even if the rooms are small

Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished, although a bit small. We walked to the Acropolis and there are many restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby. It is not located near the metro, but easy to take taxis if needed. Breakfast out on the balcony is nice, and appreciated the box breakfast provided on an early departure day. The bar across the street was noisy late on a busy weekend night.

The neighborhood is fun, interesting, and perfect for wandering and exploring. So many bookstores!!!! So much character, architecture, cafes, restaurants, Saturday farmer's market, friendly and helpful people. The hotel breakfast was simple, but exactly what you need. The woman in charge of the dining room made sure that I had everything I wanted, and brought things she thought I might want. The staff went above and beyond to help and make me feel welcome and comfortable. They asked the right questions to direct me to what I wanted, took the time to explain, put info in my phone apps, and more. The room was 100% clean and tidy. While the neighborhood is great, the distance to the subway is not. The taxi strike made for a very long walk, at night, with luggage, uphill!.

We like the Exarcheia area. The room was comfortable and very quiet. We could use the breakfast area and meet with our daughter that was in another room at the end of the day to have our snacks and a happy hour . We had a problem at breakfast that was solved . Thank you. Suggestion : the safe in the room should be attached otherwise anyone could leave with it.

The staff are very friendly and helpful。Location is excellent, very close to the city center。I would definitely recommend this place to stay in Athens。

The hotel has no central heating in mid-winter, which was not disclosed. Small fan heaters were provided but were inadequate and very loud. After adding a larger heater, an electrical failure around midnight cut power to the entire floor. We were moved shortly before 01:00 to a cold room, which then needed time to warm up after another heater was brought in. The room also had very poor sound insulation (reception and plumbing noise), making sleep difficult on a work trip.

The staff overall were wonderful, welcoming, and very helpful. They helped make my first trip to Athens a memorable one. Grace was very helpful in telling me where to go, depending on what I wanted to do. She even went as far as marking a path for me to follow on a map, which made venturing around Athens easier and way more fun. Grace is so sweet! Love Athens and this hotel. I am definitely returning, and I’m already planning my next trip and stay. Thank you all!

It would be better to have a soundproof room on the first floor. Overall, our stay was pleasant and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, our room was located on the first floor right next to the entrance, which made it very noisy. We could hear people coming and going at all hours—late-night guests returning from bars and restaurants, as well as early-morning check-outs rolling their luggage past our door. At times, it felt like we were sleeping in a hallway.

Clean rooms, good location and free wifi. Good breakfast and very helpful staff. Many tavernas nearby. Acropolis and other sites are in walking distance. We could only stay for the weekend.
-
It’s super clean, cozy, and comfortable — the kind of place that just makes you want to kick back and relax.

Staff was professional, warm, and very accommodating. Hotel is charming and the breakfast was good. Handicapped accessible room was well designed with excellent bathroom facilities. However, the neighborhood sidewalks will not accommodate a wheelchair. Hotel was great but the neighborhood sidewalks were narrow and broken. Not possible to use a wheelchair outside the hotel.

The property is new. Location is good. The staff are super friendly.

Everything about the hotel, decor, facilities, breakfast and location, but especially the staff. We had two exceptional receptionists who looked after us above and beyond expectation, namely Grace and Danae (apologies for the spelling of her name, if I got it wrong), two very pleasant and personable staff who indulged all our questions, recommended excellent places to eat locally, booked taxi to airport, stored and helped with our bags. Nothing seemed too big an ask or effort. "Go raibh mile maith agat!" = Thank you very much.

Neapolis 1897 is an immaculate and very comfortable boutique hotel in a vibrant, authentic Athens neighborhood. The trails of Mount Lycabettus are five minutes in one direction and the funky cafe-filled alleys of Exarchia are five minutes in another. The hotel staff are also very kind and helpful. The rooftop breakfast tops it all off!
