Alter Athens Hotel

- Very nice and helpful staff - Spacious rooms - Quiet (if you have a room facing the backyard, otherwise noisy from the street) - Interior of the rooms is a bit strange/unusual (I didn't mind too much, just look at the pictures) - 25' walk (or 10' cab ride) to center

Location is perfect - 25 minute walk to the centre and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Staff were extremely friendly, kind and helpful. The room was big and comfortable.

All staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel location was not too far from main city area, good cafes Room was spacious and lots of bench space Area looked rough, lots of graffiti, but no bad experiences.

Stayed there second time, love this place!

I definately recommend to everyone. Location is nice too. Close to less touristic restaurants and 6-8 eur by taxi to old city center.

Staff was very helpful. Local knowledge about dining a d transportation was very appreciated. A local wedding party that they had no control over made noise, the owner apologized anyway with a complimentary bottle of wine! Most transportation needed Uber. Not really unusual, so really not an issue

Exceptionally friendly and helpful service by the front of house team (and good housekeeping too!). Free drinks and refreshments. Very clean and comfortable. In a good area for bars and restaurants although relatively out of the touristy centre (not necessarily a bad thing).

The staff was very friendly and generous. Offered complimentary drinks and were very helpful. Cleaning could be better.. Hot water was not so hot after a second person took a shower.

Centrally located. Noisy air-condition in the room.

The hotel was easy to locate, and quite central and walkable, lots of lovely restaurants and the staff were incredible; welcoming and friendly and very generous! Nothing!

A fabulous location in a slightly alternative gritty part of Athens (gritty in a creative sense). The hotel is deeply embedded in the community. You don’t feel so much like a tourist yet all the touristy things are so close by.

Alter Athens exceeded our expectations. A lovely little hotel with really nice rooms. The staff were absolutely fabulous. There were nice restaurants etc in the neighborhood or a 30 mins walk to city centre or 5 mins (and about 6 euros) in a cab. Nothing

probably the best two star hotel we’ve ever stayed in. the rooms are large and the bed is comfortable. AC is great and the staff is very kind and offers free drinks downstairs. it’s a bit of a walk to tourist attractions. we didn’t care bc we have been to Athens before and wanted to explore more of the actual city. but just a note for anyone who doesn’t like to walk a few minutes. :)
