Iconic Athens Hostel

Otherwise nice layout, very friendly and helpful staff.

It was okay for the price I guess. Before I arrived I got an email from the property that their check in would be closed from 8-11 pm and to email them if I would be arriving during this time and they’d give me the self check in instructions. I was planning on arriving before 8 but when my flight was delayed I emailed them. Never got a response. I waited until 11 pm and rang the doorbell a few times. No response. Then I called and reached the front desk and told him I was there. He let me in and told me I should have rung the doorbell. I told him I rung it repeatedly and either it doesn’t work or nobody answered. I told him I waited until 11 since the front desk was closed and he told me (very rudely and argumentatively) that the front desk is always open. I don’t know why he would tell me this and I would get an email the day before saying it’s closed. Anyway the stay was fine. I had heard reviews of bedbugs and I didn’t get bed bugs. The location is perfect. I was driving and there’s free and plentiful parking out front. Very close to the metro station and bars and restaurants are just 2 minutes walk away. My cubby had some stains on the wall like liquid that had dripped down and dried. I noticed the toilet had some stains in it which happens but it was still there the next day so I don’t think someone cleans it every day. It was kinda grungy overall but it was very cheap and I didn’t get bed bugs so I can’t complain too much

The staff where nice but I struggled to socialise at this hostel - maybe a positive of you are wanting to work. I spoke with others and they didn't seem to have a roommate as like I did; but yeah, I wouldn't be staying here again.

The environment was friendly, the price affordable, the area is convenient, close to the places of interest, rather close to the cycle lane at the Thessaloniki street towards the sea, and about 20-30 minutes on foot from the railway station. The mattress was good enough, but the linen was dirty (at least one of two sheets provided was not very clean, the another one was black, so I can't say how clean it was), and the blanket had holes. The accomodation is acceptable for 1-2 nights. In my case, I left the place earlier then I expected, for personal reasons.

Great air conditioning and with these temps it is needed.

For that reason and a lot others since we made considerable amount of bookings with you and Travelocity and through Travelocity, we will not buy anything from Travelocity. Thanks for asking. Virginia

The staff were there 24/7 and were very nice to everyone

The staff is really helpful, they give you advice about the area, restaurants and activities to do. They try to solve any issue right away and are understating to the guest necessities.

The staff were very nice and helpful! They were very accommodating and were able to give us ideas of what to do around town including a super fun pub crawl! We met lots of new friends and we all loved staying here. It was my first time at a hostel and if they are all this wonderful I hope I stay at many more! Thank you so much for the great times and memories ❤️

I had a mostly good stay here. Dimitri was a great receptionist/host. I arrived very late and he was able to check me into my room. I had a cleanliness issue with my walls and Dimitri actually came in to clean it and used sanitizing bleach. I even did my laundry for 5 euros and was very impressed by the cleanliness of my clothes. My bathroom was cleaned everyday. The workers work really hard here to make sure your stay is pretty good. The condition of the hostel was above average and better than most of the city center. The metro stop is in very close walking distance to get to the city center which is 1 stop away.

Very clean and very safe hostel! I loved the hospitality and I wish I could've stayed longer. Everyone there was very kind and helpful.

The towel they gave us were disgusting, the bathroom as well and was never cleaned during our stay. I could feel every spring in the matress as it gave me such a back pain. Nobody in the hostel was following covid 19 procedures we were the only one wearing a mask (yes not even the employees did)

I liked this hostel but it was further away from the city center. Once I figured out how to use the metro it made things easier because the city center is one stop away, it takes less than 15 minutes to get there via the metro, also the metro is about two blocks away, right out the front doors go straight through the corridor across the street and it's there in the park. There are a lot of restaurants and bars in the area but didn't get a chance to explore them as much.

lovely stuff who helped us with everything we needed and treated us like we were friends. Check in was easy and it had a lively surrounding area without lots of noise while trying to sleep.

Short walk to the metro station line that goes right to airport. Because of a lot of nightlife can be a little noisey but light sleepers may not like. Would stay again.

This is a nice, inexpensive, well-maintained hostel. It’s a bit shabby (older linens, uncomfortable bed) and the bathrooms, while clean, are hard to keep dry, badly ventilated, and lack a true shower head. Fine for the price, but I will pay more for a hotel when I am in the city next.

Nice and kind staff...the hostel its litteraly in the middle of Athens and you have everything near you even the metro( Kerameikos station)!!!
