The location allowed observation of the real Athens It's too expensive

The reviews gave me a different impression of the place. Upon arrival, I didn’t feel comfortable as a solo female traveler, so I chose not to stay. I would only recommend it to travelers with very flexible expectations about the environment and clientele.

Peri, the guy at the reception, was very kind and friendly with a lot of tips about were to go and what to see.

Booked a dorm bunk but upon checking into room no locks on cupboards. Was able to upgrade to private room, which I felt better leaving my things in. Since I was only using this place to sleep. Staff/owners where helpful. Area a little run down. Smallest of showers I ever tried to have a shower in. I stayed here years ago but didnt really see much that had changed. Also never made it to basement kitchen.

The shower is way too small but manage able

The place is as clean as hostel can be, has air conditioning. I got a room with balcony and had a great view, it has bathroom inside the room so it’s very comfortable. I stayed 2 times in a 4 bedroom room and both of the times i was in the room alone, that was really great. The staff are really nice and helpful, the guy at reception even called me a taxi and explained how to get to the aeroport. I think it’s a great option for it’s price ? I guess the neighborhood is a bit scary to walk at night but for this price you can’t complain

The hostel was great. The best part for me was the air-conditioning. I have COPD so sometimes I struggled in the heat. With air conditioning I was able to sleep well. Thanks.

Nice and kind hosting.nice staff, good AC in the hot weather of Athens. Affordable. Backyard with tables. not a big issue for most people, but the kitchen is closed at 21:00pm. Could be stay ,opened at night if someone likes to access the fridge.

Very sketchy area of town.

Cockroaches. Terrible sound isolation, you can hear the entire building in your room. The shower leaks in the entire room.

Hostel is in a great location close to the city center train station, very accessible. The rooms are also nice. The staff are very kind and helpful, and I had a great experience thanks to them :) Shower curtain was a bit short so it's easy to spill water on the bathroom floor.

I was the only one there and had a balcony. The staff are more than accommodating. The location is a little sketchy. Just a lot of homelessness unfortunately.

beds were comfortable, balcony location - even though you are in the center the location around the hostel feels very unsafe (a lot of homeless people and junkies, catcalling from a lot of drunk men), really small elevator, staff wasn't friendly
