The garden is wonderful, the staff is very helpful, the location is perfect to visit Avignon

There is no lift. If there is any mobility issues, one should get one of these ground floor rooms.

The photos in the listing showed cuter and more spacious rooms than what we had, but that was likely an artifact of having a triple. The bathroom was also very small.

The location is outside the ramparts, but very accessible to everything. The staff is so kind and accommodating, and the garden is beautiful. Good value! The mattresses are not very comfortable, and the breakfast was lacking. Nothing was bad, but not amazing. Limit expectations and enjoy what is offered.

A lovely personal welcome in this historic hotel. Very helpful and friendly operators. The location is perfect for a short stroll into the 'old city' of Avignon. It is excellent value for money. Don't be put off by the facade, it is lovely inside with a pretty garden at the rear

I don't think I've ever left a bad review before, but the room was not like the pictures, different furniture and facilities that were in the description for that room weren't in the room. Reception told me they had no other rooms but online I could see they had three available rooms which were more similar to what I had booked. Maybe you'll get lucky and get the room you booked.

The bed was basically a cot ! The linens and towels were very old and dingy Never even replaced the towels for 3 days Let cation was not inside city walls . 15 min walk to get any food or drinks

The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Horrendous experience. I chose to hang up my jacket in the armoire in the first room I was assigned. I opened the door, simply picked a hanger off the rack and then was whacked in the eye by the heavy armoire falling on me. Terrifying.

Old, but perfect. The street was a little solitary, but OK. Excellent price/value

Room: The space was simple yet serene, with clean linens and a gentle ambiance that invited rest after a long day of mission and movement. Though modest in size, it offered the essentials with quiet dignity. ? Location: Nestled just outside the bustling center, the hotel felt like a hidden garden—close enough to walk to key sites, yet tucked away from the noise. A peaceful base for reflection and exploration.

The hotel rooms all have air conditioning. The staff are very nice and willing to speak English with you even if they won’t admit to being fine speakers of English. The breakfast buffet offered is very basic but nicely arranged and a good value. It was enjoyable to be in the garden while having some coffee and pastries. The hotel is outside of the walls of Avignon but is a short walk away from the main city center area. The location is relatively quiet and calm. The parking can be tight and one might have an issue with the parallel parking that is required on the street. I believe private parking is an extra cost.

Lovely garden and easy access to drive to just outside the walls. Room was clean and comfortable. Very nice to sit and picnic in the garden after a day of sightseeing. We were in a room in the garden extension which was fine, comfortable, clean but lacked the charm of the older part of the hotel. The trade off was it was easier for my dog to stretch his legs in the garden.
-
Nice older hotel that has been well maintained with historic charm. The hotel has a small garden area in the back with seating and tables to enjoy a drink or a little quiet time. The hotel is a short 10-15 minute walk to the heart of Avignon and is minutes to the train station. The breakfast was quite sparse, it would have been nice to have the option of fresh fruit and eggs.

Hotel Jardin has very friendly staff and management who all do their best to make your stay very comfortable. Rooms are simple but have all you need. The location is very central, near the historic part of Avignon but also close to the train station and access roads

Superb
-
Close to city and off-street parking not too difficult to find. Host very friendly and helpful

Lovely people and great hidden garden Just some far sounds of the trains, but nothing to worry

The room is clean. The location is convenient to city and train station. I don’t understand the 8/10 score of this property. I was in room #5. The room atmosphere looks different than the pictures. The price is higher than the chain brand hotel but facilities are old and limited. The hotel seems paying too much effort on cost cutting. For example, hairdryer is not provided in room. Only 2 paper cups, 2 little bags of body washes(I will say no more than 10ml), 2 pieces of thin soaps are provided. When the towels, cups and soaps are used, they did not change or complement new ones. I booked 3 nights, which means in the last night I had to wash my hairs with soap(this is not a good idea as it made my hairs super dry and sticky) and brushed teeth with dirty used cups, because these are not changed even the given ones are used. When I checked in, I was not told where I can find these items like hairdryer. The staff in reception will leave after 7.30pm I guess so no one could enquire from when I am back to hotel in the night. There was also no one on the reception when I left hotel around 8.30 am. But the staff are friendly. The door is bad at sound insulation. You can hear others talking or shaking keys on the corridor when you are sleeping. The property does not worth the rates.
