Hôtel Danieli Avignon
About Hôtel Danieli Avignon
The Danieli Hotel is located at the heart of Avignon Old Town, 1312 feet from the Palais des Papes and a 10-minute walk from the Pont d'Avignon bridge. The paintings seen throughout this hotel are by Yvan Osscini. The hotel offers air-conditioned guest rooms featuring a flat-screen TV, desk and wardrobe. The private bathroom includes a bath or shower and a hairdryer. Breakfast is offered at this property and a vending machine is available for other snacks. Groceries and restaurants can be found within 492 feet of the hotel. Avignon Central Train Station is 10 minutes walk away. We do not have a parking and we recommend the public parking at the Palais des Papes, a 5-minute walk from the hotel, at a price of €17 for 24 hours. The entrance is located outside next to the Avignon bridge.

Great staff people. Nice breakfast. Box of Kleenex would be nice. And a washcloth or two; also another towel or two.

The pictures on the booking site(looks very nice) doesn’t at all match how the rooms actually look or how small they are. Windows facing dirty backyard. Both hotel and rooms are quite worn (not reflected in pictures on web/booking site). Hardly any greeting from staff.

Good thing i don't need a hair dryer. To reach it and to plug it in would have required a basketball player. As it was, the soap dispensers were a stretch. I am not the only short person that will ever stay there.

Great location & good value. We booked at last minute because train strike meant we couldn’t get to Avignon to start a cruise, so had to come a day earlier. Although building was very old, bathroom was modern & clean, with plenty of hot water. Opening door into room, there were 5 slippery steps down, which could be dangerous. Guy at front desk warned us, and opened door for us.

The staff arranged a room for us before check-in time so we could leave our luggage in the room during the afternoon tour

Breakfast, location, and staff was amazing. Well worth the breakfast. Good internet available. Nice clean room and ample bathroom. Nice soft towels. As past hotel managers we always gave our guests and upgrade if there were unsold rooms to give them the best experience. Plastic cups that were provided. We prefer a safer ceramic stable mug for our tea and coffee. A tea towel would be good for drying our cups.

I liked the location, it's super central, everything is clise to this place. Bathroom was very ok, clean and had spacious. The room had comfy beds and it was clean. The room was very basic but for this price I could not get more. Staff speak english which is an advantage.

Most of the staff, particularly the young girls during the day, didn't speak a word of English and didn't make the smallest effort to try to understand what was said, not even using Google translate... If you work in a hotel with tourists you MUST speak some English or make the effort and use a translator. I've never seen such level of laziness to serve passengers in any other hotel around the world! (this applies only to the young women, not the men)
