Wonderful location and breakfast! Great for exploring the city.

Nice hotel right in center of Avignon. Friendly staff and comfortable. Room was quite small but it worked fine. It has no elevators so you need to be aware that you carry your luggage up a small curved stairway. This wasn’t a problem for us but could be for others.

Great rooms, great location right in the heart of Avignon, and the staff was very helpful. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and he helped carry our bags upstairs and walked us to a nearby boulangerie that he personally recommended. We really appreciated the personal attention. We will be back. Nothing.

We loved everything about Hotel de Garland! Peaceful location, exceptionally clean & very comfortable. It was less than a 10 minute walk from Avignon Central Train Station. We were able to drop off our bag and freshen up in their public room toilet before heading to the nearby Palace de Papes. Stephane & Clement were both great - very friendly & helpful. Highly, highly recommend!

Liked everything with possible exception of getting in with security code at 2pm

The hotel is charming having maintained a feeling of the old building with modern convenience. Host was very helpful. We did not eat so cannot comment on the breakfast but it looked lovely. Be prepared for quite narrow winding stairs - in room 12 we had quite the climb.

The stairs to the second and third floors are a pain. Not a knock on the hotel, but it is in an area that it is difficult to get into and out of by car.

It was a great location. Very peaceful and quiet, but near a lot of restaurants and shops. My room was so spacious and comfortable. I was only there for one night, but I would have loved to stay longer.

Clement was a great host. Breakfast sounded expensive on the booking site, but it was well worth it. Old, small building has been updated and is very very clean. Despite being in the pedestrian zone, taxis (not uber or lift) can deliver and pick up at the front door. Highly recommend’ The stairs are steep but very manageable if you are mobile. Clement helped with luggage, which we appreciated - though we could have managed it at ages 71 and 68.

The building is 4 centuries old. Beautiful but also comfortable with modern facilities. The location is perfect.

We stayed in one of the apartments. Good value, very quite, great location near all the sights and good restaurants.

Location was excellent. In the city center, but down a quiet street. Easily walkable to everything. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also clean and spacious. Hostess explained all the nuances of the place and gave great recommendations. Parking is not at the hotel. Had I read the confirmation/welcome email thoroughly I would have known to park at the city garage and walk to the hotel.

Location is close to train station. Staff was nice and kind to show us around the amenities inside the room and helped carry the luggage. He also reminded the hot water will take longer time before all cold water runs out which takes a longer time. They didn’t change towels despite the towels were wet and on floor. The room is supposed to hang up on the wall when leaving the hotel which made me uncomfortable, because other patronages could go in to your room.

Very helpful staff, central location, comfortable bed. Very unique place to stay. Would stay again! Steep stairs to the rooms but very manageable.

Outstanding breakfast- the chef makes everything fresh!
