Breakfast was excellent. Good choice, great quality produce both for full Yorkshire and pastries Hard to think of much - reception not always staffed - Not surprisingly in a small hotel but had to wait to speak to someone when we had a query.

Comfortable areas downstairs and friendly staff. The room was a bit hot.

Breakfast and dinner were excellent, though no pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese left for Sunday dinner. One of the waiters, Caspian was great, he worked so hard. We arrived to check in, and it was like the Marie Celeste. There was already a couple of guys at the bar waiting to get served, we arrived, then more people arrived queuing to the door. One of the guys had to go in search to the kitchen to get attention. One of the waitresses/ senior waitresses/meet and greet was rude by ignoring my partner at the bar and serving someone who came in after him. Same waitress forgot to bring us our condiments that we requested. All other waitresses particularly the breakfast waitresses were very good and polite.

When we moved rooms it was lovely - good view and Sasha was especially accommodating. The evening meal was lovely and the scenery was spectacular. There was a mix up with the payment and Andrea was really helpful here. When we first arrived we were shown to a room outside which was very dated with a view of a construction vehicle - the shower was one i would not want to go into. Also the hairdryer was very tricky to use as you had to press a button in on it constantly to make it work. For someone with a weak right hard this was not ideal and my husband ended up helping out. Anyone with arthritis or similar would find it hard. Some of the waiting staff in morning were slightly complacent.

Excellent breakfast & lovely evening meal. The room was on a road but it was very quiet during the night due to the location. Staff were very helpful. An earlier check in time would have been good. No draught lager available.
